I thought he was there to serve the drinks, tbh.

How on earth was he in that company? A no mark. Won f.a. in the game but scored a bucket load against the likes of Crystal Palace and West Brom.

UEFA used him as a marketing ploy basically to hook a million RS tv whoppers into watching their little awards ceremony, and then gave the prizes to some actual winners from Madrid. A good reflection of the final itself really.

I think we can all agree that midweek CL games have some sort of effect on preparation for the next PL game. I don't agree with SAFs assessment when United had away games post CL. He was always bemoaning having a tough away game after a CL match. The reality is all away games are tough and if your chances of winning away are diminished that's far better than having your chances of winning a home game diminished by the reduced preparation time.

So I do think Liverpool will (privately) be a bit disappointed to have home games (Southampton, Man City, Cardiff, Fulham, Everton, Man Utd) after all six games.

We however must be delighted to go to Liverpool, City, United directly after they play in Europe.

That's exactly why he was there.

He certainly wasn't there as an example to kids playing football of how to battle against adversity to achieve your dream.

Utter 'kin coward.

Ha ha that one chance he had against Everton up against full back extroadinaire Cuco Martina? Even needed to push him over to fashion that as well. Ballon D’or material. Wait is he still deffo winning that now as well? I thought he had his name on it?

Echo headline:

"Neymar and Kylian Mbappe won't have experienced anything like a Champions League night at Liverpool"

...that's Neymar the Champions League winner and Copa Libertadores winner who's played in the biggest games in Brazilian football and Spanish football, and Mbappe who just tore up the World Cup and played in and won a World Cup final.

How on earth will they cope?
To be fair, I doubt that Neymar and Mbappe have much experience of their coach being bricked on the way to the ground, so in this respect the Echo could be right..

Need to stop having such a poor disciplinary record, then. Most sending-offs in PL history I'm sure I heard this week.

Those stats are a bit warped, like we have probably had the most defeats, most conceded (or at least up there). Mainly because we have either been awful or not protected by refs during a constant stay in the league.

There may or may not be some teams with a higher red card per game count.

Not our fault the refs have top 6 spectacles. Its been proven the top 6 clubs get more protection, more penalties given and less cards and pens against them than the rest.

I would have loved seeing probert show a red to Salah, Hazard, Pogba, De Bruyne etc. for getting in Smith's face like he did with Richarlison or Jagielka's challenge.

Both players stupid for giving the ref an excuse to send them off but its well known ref's bottle it when making big calls against the so called top sides and their cohert of whinging managers ala Klopp, Jose and Pep.

We are tied with West Ham for most defeats rn. If we both avoid defeat this weekend, our game with them with have some added significance! No wonder why it's on TV.

We did have most saves up until last weekend but Cech broke Howard's record.

With what, the draw? Never have been, never will be. When you're in the CL draw in pot 2 or 3 you can get a good draw or a tough draw. It is was it is. I, however, will never bleat about how the draw must be rigged, fixed, "warm balls" etc as I don't clutch at such straws that many (including Liverpool fans) seem to.
In fairness, Liverpool won the next 3 matches against City with 11 men, so there was maybe a slight point.

Normality more than nobility.

Circle of life for a Liverpool fan on here, start off nice, then patronising, followed by passive aggressive, that's usually followed by a few sly digs and then the full meltdown and flounce off ala @Kinghowie

The inner fume is strong in this one.
