That’s exactly the point I was raising or trying to , it shouldn’t be used as a throwaway line it’s just too important for that . I don’t care where somebody is from that line means something and it’s not like YNWA or coyb and in my opinion shouldn’t be used as such , it’s important. It certainly means a lot to me and those close to me .

Those who lost their lives and those who fought tirelessly for justice deserve it to be respected. Just my opinion.
Agree totally

great, now they're slagging Pickford off because he mentioned Alisson's Cruyff turn boo boo in an interview. (n)
I think it’s fair enough they use it But where i don’t disagree is that some use it without considering the significance of the statement and what it means. Using it like YNWA or as throwaway line just isn’t acceptable to me , it’s something that means something to a lot of people and not just Liverpool fans .
I dislike it as well when people use 'JFT96' as a throwaway line. Like 'going the match later, JFT96'. What has that got to do with Hillsborough?

They are violent people. They remind me of fascist organisations in the way they operate. You have the weaselly types who'd been bullied at school, the ones who take pictures of people to intimidate and then the thugs. All of it aimed to silence people.

I've had one now who's made a threat, because I informed him that LFC play no role in my life negative or positive. They are an irrelevance. And if he's busy stalking forums maybe he should consider what role rivals have in his life. Strange bunch.

As Hitler said of his movement, he wanted to turn worms into dragons. Thats what LFC tries to do as well. Take worms and make them feel powerful.
G-d that's creepy. I've been accused of being 'obsessed' with Liverpool just because I happen to have tweeted about them, but no more than I do about City/United/Chelsea. But not death threats, yet.

I also know someone who's a Hillsborough survivor, and it's one of the reasons why I'd NEVER joke about it, because I know how painful it is for him. There's banter and there's cruelty, and that's cruelty. Some lines should never be crossed. Hillsborough is one of them. I'd like to think most Everton fans realise that.

No proper Blues or Reds would ever joke about Hillsborough or Munich. We're better than that. I'm Birkenhead born and bred and I knew four people who never came home from Sheffield that day, neighbours and the son of a former workmate. It is an open sore for Merseysiders and we all hope the families find peace and justice. Now living in Leeds I often have to explain the disaster to my local friends and colleagues, the wider world does not get it yet.
Moistens my eyes that and I'm a miserable b***. Hillsborough was a tragedy that impacted LFC and Liverpool and its hinterland immeasurably.

I don't know if it's a duty or some sense of what is right but over this but I fully support LFC and the JFT96 campaign over the whole affair and fighting against the disgraceful manner in which it has been covered up and swept under the carpet by the powers that be.

When a non-local football fan asks about JFT96 hashtag I do hope that they get your post @Pudsey and realise that it's an important matter that goes far beyond rivalries and that its meaning is understood.

Having said all that, that Cryuff turn! Come back Karius, all is forgiven.
