If he rotated the first 11 they’ll go out of the league cup to even a half decent Chelsea side. If he rests more than one of the front three they’d have a game on their hands against Southampton. Their strength in depth is abysmal. Spurs almost got back into the game just because Firmino went off for a bit on Saturday.
they did the same last year, they only played 3 games in the fa and caraboa cup combined. then concentrated on the league and cl,

Considering Klopp’s (and Liverpool’s) lack of silverware you would think he would prioritise competitions they have a better chance of winning. As thing stand though Rodgers will be remembered as a better Liverpool manager.

In the eyes of the owners Klopp will have been the better manager by far. Getting them far in the CL earning big bucks is all they care about. Rodgers pretty much played a 2nd string in the CL.

Anyhow they'll get tonked tonight and we can all celebrate.

I see coach bricking season is upon us again.... How time flies.
Weather conditions for the couple of hours before KO tonight: 22 MPH South/South-Westerly winds and a 25% chance of light showers. Not ideal missile throwing conditions, but these lads are experienced enough to make the adjustments.

No excuses for not hitting a big target like the driver's windscreen, of course, but the conditions might be unfavourable for a City-style complete demolition.

Agree with this. I do expect some rotation through this period. But we can't really afford to drop too many first team players. Our attacking subs are Sturridge and Shaqiri - some way off from the front 3 in quality. Fabinho should be a competent addition in the midfield but that is for long-term. Less said about defensive backups the better.

Remembered by who? I am pretty sure no Liverpool fan or neutral thinks that. Have you come across any? But the first part of your post is bang on. Considering the spending, there is no excuse for not being able to compete on all fronts.

Just hope PSG do their homework on Liverpool's last year "gung ho for the first 30 minutes" approach, rather then the first 5 league games this season.

Also be interesting to see how vvd deals with mbappe

Klopp needs to win something soon given the money he's spent. This is his 4th season, if he finishes potless AGAIN then his job has to be on the line. No big club would accept such a perennial failure in charge of their club. If he keeps his job afeter another winless season it's basically an acceptance that they're a Roma, a Marseille, a Villareal....can no longer claim to be part of the elite. We've known for years but they're a bit slow, bless 'em.

It's indicative of how far they've they fallen that Mourinho who has won 3 trophies in 3 years is seen (even by Liverpool fans) as a failure but Klopp hasn't won anything but his seen as some sort of demi-god.

However i think even their patience will start to run out if he goes four seasons without winning a single trophy so i think he might try a bit harder in the league cup this year.

I’ve actually just walked passed the coach outside the Hilton so feel like I should take a picture , just for the before and after comparison.
