ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Weather conditions for the couple of hours before KO tonight: 22 MPH South/South-Westerly winds and a 25% chance of light showers. Not ideal missile throwing conditions, but these lads are experienced enough to make the adjustments.

No excuses for not hitting a big target like the driver's windscreen, of course, but the conditions might be unfavourable for a City-style complete demolition.

We had violence at every european game at home last season. Even having Lyon players attacked by one of our so called fans holding his own child an youre spewing this garbage. Stick to making lies up about BMD, or maybe try attending some of our home games and getting behind the team for a change. Same for the other melts who post on here who've never been to this city, let alone one of our games making crap up just to fit in with the other loons.

Klopp needs to win something soon given the money he's spent. This is his 4th season, if he finishes potless AGAIN then his job has to be on the line. No big club would accept such a perennial failure in charge of their club. If he keeps his job afeter another winless season it's basically an acceptance that they're a Roma, a Marseille, a Villareal....can no longer claim to be part of the elite. We've known for years but they're a bit slow, bless 'em.

It's indicative of how far they've they fallen that Mourinho who has won 3 trophies in 3 years is seen (even by Liverpool fans) as a failure but Klopp hasn't won anything but his seen as some sort of demi-god.

However i think even their patience will start to run out if he goes four seasons without winning a single trophy so i think he might try a bit harder in the league cup this year.

Really hope that happens and they do push the panic button and get rid of him. He's improving them every single year and it's only a matter of time before they win a big trophy. Don't care about his previous record in finals, in a year or so from now he'll have the strongest team he's ever managed, they already hardly have a weakness in the first XI and chipping away at the squad every window. Every year we survive them winning something is a bonus for me until he's gone.

Any of yous that have taken the time out to register on here and post , care to explain the thought process gone into that?

personally cant see it, even if he doesent win a trophy. same with pochetino of spurs. If those 2 teams keep their managers they will be regulars in the champions league, and I think the owners know that,

Inappropriate Behaviour

Thing is all their players are at pretty much peak age and they've got poor depth. Last year was their big chance really. But next year is absolutely their last chance with this crop. Salah, Mane, Firmino will all be on the decline, Fabinho not good enough (like i said he wasn't) , Keita looking limited (like i said he was), Klopp got lucky with Mohammed Ricketts season in a lifetime but this year could be testing.

Lose tonight and i think we could see a mini-collapse.

their front 3 are all 26, there back 4 and keeper average is 23.

not sure where your getting peak age from

Salah will be pretty much 28 by the end of next season, same with Mane and Firmino. Players like that tend to peak at 25/26....very few actually improve.
Not really arsed about their defence as it isn't really that great and Allison always has an error in him.

They're where they are because of the front 3 really, lose one of them and it's game over. The fact they're all about the same age and statistically likely to have gone over the hill already then it isn't looking good.

Spunked all their cash on the hopeless Fabinho and Keita (I tried to tell people) and hundreds of millions of pounds in debt...it's a very worrying time for a Liverpool fan if they do anything other than concentrate on the absolute present.

Then there's Milner over 30, Henderson, Lovren VVD, Wijnaldum and Lallana all approaching or already past 30. Set to lose four big players on frees at the end of the season, with four more big players to tie down by the end of next season. It's all a bit of a mess tbh. It's a shame.

I've said it before but i don't think FSG have really got to grips with how football works, it's nothing like baseball and i think the penny's dropped hence their desperate scramble to find someone to buy the club. No takers though, which has go to set alarm bells ringing for any Liverpool fan.

I’m an admirer of your work and would definitely like to live in the world that you see.
