ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Great point in light of that Arsenal demolition of Fulham. As you say: the "procession" they and their fawning hand rags in the media were trying to impose on us a fortnight ago will suddenly look like folly.

We just need City to turn up for once at Anfield and acquit themselves reasonably well to see the cracks appearing in Liverpool. If they dont win today - Liverpool - the phone ins will be very interesting. I suspect the fissure that's always been there between a lot of their fans and Klopp will be on display.

"I suspect the fissure that's always been there between a lot of their fans and reality" you mean.

Speaking to my reasonably objective RS season ticket holding Uncle (he's been going for nigh on fifty years now) and he doesn't expect any middle ground.

Either Citeh will bottle it and they'll concede a fair few or they will come seeking revenge and tear the RS a new one; after their CL game, he thinks this is likely.

Based on that documentary he may have smashed lots of records, but getting turned over by the RS comes across as his biggest failure last season for him

That's how I expect it to go. One side to win comfortably. This is the type of game the RS have always got up for, to stay relevant. City I've always considered to be weak willed no matter how well they've done. There is rightfully a lot of anger about the disgraceful scenes outside Anfield in last season's CL game, if the City players can direct that anger correctly they could humiliate Liverpool today - if they are mentally up to the task. Lets hope so

Some good news to report...

The Manchester City sky blue team bus pulls in to Anfield with hardly any fans still in attendance. There is some boo-ing, but it is a very different scene to earlier this year when the City bus was greeted by hostile scenes for the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final.

They'll be crying in the streets tonight.

I wonder if Merseyside police will thank them for leaving the coach alone, impeccably behaved fans.

Congratulations on not killing anyone.

That's worth a Nobel Peace Prize, surely?
