:D

Any kopites lurking out there? C'mon lads, sing along with me:'Ohhhhh, yes we are the great pretenders!' (certainty sounds better than that walk alone rubbish you lot mindlessly bellow out before each match).
I also like these appropriate lyrics from the great Buzzcocks:
"You get in a heat, you get in a sulk
But you still keep a-beating your meat to pulp"

Nah! You are all wrong

They have not even started playing yet. Just watch them go when they do. Must be correct as loads of reds are posting it all over the tinternet.

Klapp, sorry Klopp, did say they must get ugly this season. I thought most of them were pretty pig ugly last season as well. Not sure what Kloppy is seeing in the mirror but he is not a handsome dude like me.

They have started well and are grinding out wins that would have been draws. I do not see them at the level of City, or Spurs though.

If only we could scratch a 1-0 against the league's whipping boys. Then we could go on Rawk and profess it was our year. At this moment I don't think Skamp is capable of a meltdown... can anyone gloating about beating a relegation candidate through riding their luck have the mental capacity to understand that everyone is mocking him and his absolute absence of self awareness. I'd go further but I'm trying to avoid a ban for calling him The backward child of a union between Theresa May and the Trumpster who had a Novichok filled prophylactic fail on him.
Where have i gloated lol? Let's hope Liverpool keep playing averagely for the the sake of the sanity of those on this thread.

They were clinging on last season after Coutinho left, a couple of referee assisted wins against Citeh in the CL masked that fact somewhat.

Now they've lost Can as well they just aren't controlling games in the midfield. They have a fight to finish top 4. Wouldn't be a total surprise to see them finish outside top 6 and not the strangest thing in the world if they finish bottom half.

That's when things could get interesting and that 9 figure debt could really start making a difference.

Set to lose a host of players for free at the end of the season....id be genuinely concerned if I was a kopite.

Definitely their least 'in control' performance of the season. If nothing else that trend line is going in the right direction.

A shame they had the good fortune to time their most disjointed performance for a day when they were playing the worst team in the league, one managed by Klopp's mate.

With City looking so good they have minimal chance of winning anything of note so I'm pretty relaxed about it all. The biggest annoyance at present is the development of Gomez. He looks frighteningly complete for his age.
