"We’re not challenging Manchester City.... we’re challenging for top 4 again.
It’s so annoying that the times we have created a good team..... someone with Country or Oil money creates something better!!!
My biggest fear is we eventually loose when he’s contract runs it’s course and he hasn’t quite got us that 19th title. Not because he’s not good enough but simply because there was s team that was just that little bit better.
This year we thought it would be us against Manchester City and then Chelsea and Arsenal have also improved greatly.
Because of 5is I’m finding it hard to enjoy the season so far....... we will all take points off each other and Manchester City will go on....... winning 4-1 at half time.... they will be 2 points ahead......at some point we’re going to lose.... and that’s 5 points and the way they’re playing it’s practically title over.
I’m 51.... supported Liverpool got 46 years and want this title more than anything in the world.... so frustrating!!!
Before everyone goes mental and start to tell me to f off etc..... it’s jus5 how I’m feeling... I enjoyed last season because there was no title expectation and the champions League ‘journey’ was unexpected and spectacular!
This season I just can’t get excited because of the inevitability of Manchester City!!
"
They are unbeaten and only 2 points off city?

Surely they can't be giving up already?

If Klopp doesn’t win a trophy this season I can’t see him being there at the start of the next. The knives will be out big time and the owners will be forced to act.

I can’t see them winning the league. Granted, they’ve had a very good start and are still strong, but I was saying to a mate of mine a few weeks ago, they don’t blow teams away anymore. Last season they were regularly beating teams by 2/3/4 goal margins, but they don’t look like it this year. 3rd at best this season imo.

If I was Klopp I’d go all out to win the FA cup

Last season their press was very good. They were cocky enough to think that it would cause Real Madrid problems but whilst that was a completely erroneous deluded misguided notion it was at least based on the evidence that it had caused good possession sides like Arsenal City Sevilla some problems that season. They would have backed themselves to have blasted away a Barcelona or a Juventus if they’d have met them in the CL (foolish as that thought might have been).

I don’t think this season even their most ardent fans would be thinking this based on the football they’re playing. Average possession teams like Napoli Leicester and Arsenal have had all the time on the ball they’ve wanted. Chelsea, the sort of possession based side Liverpool would have destroyed at Anfield last season played around them with ease. They’re fully aware now that their game plan is to sit deep and hope Van Dijk can keep out a better footballing side and that they’ll get something on the break. Holding and Mustafi played a highline against them and barely got punished for it. It’s a complete about turn by Klopp in terms of his football philosophy. He’s either putting his eggs in this basket as he knows his other system didn’t win anything, or he’s no longer able to get that out of his players.

They'll win in Belgrade. Bit of a dodgy trip though like, compounded by the fact that they've left Shaqiri at home in case things get tasty.

Apart from the lack of structure that is a telling post.

What makes me laugh is he's basically complaining it's unfair there is a better team than Liverpool. "If only there weren't good teams we'd win".

The message seems to be: "Hold on, this season was supposed to be about us and City. Why are these other teams still in it?"

This weekend has them reflecting that they are just part of a pack of teams trying desperately to hang onto the coat-tails of Man City.

It's going to be hilarious when they're finally dropped. The fury will be immense.

Anything but a win would be disastrous. As ever though, I doubt Klopp will trust Lallana Sturridge and Solanke to do the job, or Matip Moreno etc. so it will be the first 11 getting another 90 minutes of hard running away from home.
