ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

An excellent, measured post. Not a chance anyone from that side would come out with anything as balanced as this.

To counter though, I don't watch a lot of European footy, so only saw his Dortmund side in the odd Champions league game so never really had an opinion on Klopp the person. I knew Klopp had a respected reputation and was gutted Liverpool got him. Within weeks I couldn't understand any Everton fan saying he was in any way likeable. He has always come across as a phoney, arrogant bell, whose mask has slipped more than once that he hides behind this friendly persona. Apart from that I agree with every word.

I reckon away from the game he seems alright. But like most, can't stand all his antics he has to do in his job! It comes accross as childish and someone who is not in control of his brain.
A little like his side to be honest, they can only really play RAAAAH football, which is basically run at them very quick and fast and kick it quick!
When they have stop and play and think abit, they come slightly unstuck.
But again, they are unbeaten and 2 points behind city, so it cant be time to rip the plan up for them quite yet

Haha there is no way you are the only person. It's a shame I'm not articulate enough to explain what I think about him without swearing. Maybe bute*. Of the highest order.

I would like to kick him in the head as hard as I could whilst he were on the floor, he bothers me that badly.

I don't like talking like that, it's horrible and I like to think i'm a classy and non-violent individual but when it comes to that bloke my bad side comes out. Absolutely detest him, worse than any of their ex-players or Klopp himself. Absolute parody of a sports writer.

...I know many folk are dismissive of the Reds chances but I just wonder if Klopp has distinctly changed strategy. Last season they were expansive and built their game on attacking. This season, it’s much more Mourinho-like. I noticed yesterday they didn’t fully exploit long throws, I don’t think he wanted to risk the counter attack with Gomez launching throws to VvD.

The Reds might not be as pleasing on the eye as last season but they are getting the job done and it would be folly to write them off.

I care about them , I hate them and I hate our frankly appalling record against them and I childishly enjoy their relative lack of success over the last few years . I don’t hide it , no issues with that .

I’ll tell you what for a team that doesn’t matter to them they don’t half seem to be dining out on on beating us in what’s apparently a bang average fixture to them , as we’ve been told time and time again . Whether it’s the manager running on the pitch earning a charge , kopites in your phone or on social media ,the players having a little party or even their wives they deffo seemed to have enjoyed it. Don’t get me wrong if that had happened at the other end in the last minute I’d probably only just be sobering up now and I don’t blame any match going fan whatever their hue for enjoying a last minute win , especially a spawny one . I just have trouble reconciling it with the “you don’t matter to us “ mantra .

The whole modern Liverpool is built on nothing except their claim to be better than us. We are all that matters to them. If that changed they’d have to face up to one league cup in a decade whilst the rest of the top 6 have moved ahead of them on and off the pitch. It’s enough to keep the hordes at bay that they get a few weekends of laughing at Everton. They can watch YouTube videos of it when they finish the season empty handed yet again.

Klopps celebration was cringey but it didn't bother me really. But his phoney humility after the game when the camera was on him did.

'Hey why you guys film me, film those guys, they did it, I'd never try to hog the limelight me'

Massive massive bell end.

Their goalie is decent tbf. The Gomes save was brilliant but the touch on the ball when Walcott was through was also top notch.

Says it all about yesterday that Klippety felt the need after about 20 minutes to run up and down the touchline waving his arms trying to get the tourists, with their phones and i pads, to try and make some noise! He was worried, meanwhile they were all sat there taking pictures to put in their Thomas Cook tour album!
