ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

The big difference mate is that they're grinding results out one after the other and are looking the most solid side in the league by far. City are faltering and no mistake. Klopp is serious about this and the advantage is now firmly theirs.

Klopp can be all serious he wants. He's lost 5 finals whenever he's been serious.

That Rodgers side fell on their own sword in the last few games after leading for the majority of the season. They also had bigger players who had won things.

We'll see. Different being the chasers than being the chased.

Just go with it, when they collapse it will be a thing of beauty.

When they brag and boast at how they have won it, just agree and say they are very good and deserve it.

The just wait for the usual collapse and vitriol that obviously follows, just as night follows day.

Lot of games though for the likes of Salah. Champions league final and then the World Cup.
Liverpool’s issue may be that Salah tires around February. Unlike City they don’t have the depth in their squad.

Unbeaten , top by 4 points at Christmas and squad players actually helping them win games.

If they were from any other city you would have them bang on for the title.

Trying my very best not to kneejerk currently but I just feel like it's a foregone conclusion now, December or not.

The stars have well and truly aligned for them this season. They have arguably the most balanced & solid side in the league who also happen to be the kings of riding their luck to boot with no one looking like taking them down a peg on the horizon. City & Pep now beginning to look jaded, as if they don't quite want it as much - which is likely a combination of Pep's head being more on Europe this year whilst simultaneously being discouraged by Liverpool's form.

It's also a narrative that the media are climbing over themselves to peg.. they are absolutely desperate for them to win a Prem title and I'd throw Sky into that too.

Time to, finally, try and make our peace with it I say. Had to come sooner or later I suppose, can't hold on to something forever like..
