ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

If City can keep Liverpool within grabbing distance for the next couple of months, then the wins become tougher to grind out for a team desperate to see the winning post.

Let's see how Klopp's lot handle the pressure. It's all well and good where they are now, but we haven't even reached half way.

This last month has been a disappointment that's seen them on the verge of being left behind by City to now occupying a position where they can control the title race. But there will be more twists and turns to come.

First things first: City have to get three points against Leicester now.
Didn't you say city will be 1 point behind them at Christmas and nothing to worry about? lol

Unfortunately the league table doesn't lie and Spurs have lost 4 games already in the league this season. They play nice football though when on form, especially when teams like us today play utter rubbish.
After losing 4 games, Spurs are 6 pts behind you lot. Whats stopping Spurs going unbeaten till the end of the season as you have done in the first half of it? You could easily lose four games or stay undefeated.

Colin Murray on Five Live this morning. Absolutely every newsworthy item ended up having RS being mentioned in it. Oh, and of course extended comments on our "game " yesterday. And of a similar moan, Stephen Warnock. Is he the new rising star of media comments? Can't avoid him it seems. The next Jim Beglin? Does sweet FA as a player, now the go to guy ffs.

What did you expect on a sport station reviewing the football from the weekend? There would be extended comments on our game yesterday too. Spurs were very good and it was the big game yesterday and the only game. I would imagine they’ve pretty much reviewed each game and spoke football. If you don’t like it, don’t put a sports station on after we’ve just been beaten 2-6 the day before!

It was like the match yesterday on Sky. I walk into the pub after the match and there I'm greeted by Souness and Bellamy as the match pundits. Pardon?

I can understand Souness as he is a stalwart of Sky coverage but Bellamy - why was he chosen? Why no ex-Everton or ex-Spurs to bring some balance?

The media is awash with that shower them, be it ex-players or people who are clearly Liverpool fans, and BT is equally awful for being an overly Red channel.

Wind your neck in newcomer.
BBC Five Live at 0600 normally a fair mix of news and yes, SPORT. It's the news I switch on for and accepted full well our game would have been reviewed. It was being delivered by an RS fanatic who was revelling in our demise. That's what I was referring to.
For the record I'm pretty much immune to criticism of my club, especially when it's merited, and I will reiterate it's the manner, and from whom the criticism was coming that was my beef.

I've just read that Big Nev has been on Twitter wondering why at an Everton home game, they couldn't find an Everton player to offer any sort of balance.
One reason why I don't subscribe to any of these channels, added to the fact we must have possibly the worst record of teams winning televised games.

I know they work with the BBC so that may be an issue, but Leon Osman and Kevin Kilbane instantly spring to mind as recent ex-players who are in punditry.

I'm sure there's many more as well who may wish to do is such as Kevin Campbell (he's been used by BT Sport), Peter Reid or even Trevor Steven from RTE.

The issue is however that they (the mainstream media) like to appease certain clubs rather than others; I imagine Spurs fans (challengers) feel more aggrieved.

Just imagine if that shower were on the TV and not one of their lot were represented through the punditry or commentators - there'd be outrage from their quarter!
