ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

A load of yers laughed back in August when i said i was worried they would win the league this season.

Defences win titles, they look very solid. Don't worry though people, we have the football brains of @toffeejack & @Steve0 saying Liverpool have no chance and Salah is a one season wonder.

No need to worry mate, if Steve0 says it, it’ll come true. Steve knows *taps nose*

They'll beat Arsenal, and get a point at City (god, I hope you're vaulting me after those 2 games!)

They may beat Arsenal, I just don’t see it. The whole atmosphere will have changed with the being front runners, nerves will kick in. As for City, there is absolutely no way in this World they will lose that one. Must win game for them and they usually do when it really matters.

Only Evertonians could win 5-1 then start crying about Liverpool.

“We don’t care what the red side say” lollollol

At the end of the day, a lot of mates/work colleagues are Liverpool fans and in recent years their failures have actually comforted our lack of success. They win the league this year and we finish 8th makes football grim.

It is looking grim.

However, a route back is there in the next couple of games:

Arsenal take something at Anfield and City beat Southampton. Then City beat Liverpool at the Etihad.

If that happens it's game on again.

Even if Liverpool beat Arsenal and City just win their games against Southampton and Liverpool, it's game on.

Next two games will settle it in Liverpool's favour if City dont take maximum points though.

These are dark times. The darkest for quite a while now. Yet to drop a point to anyone outside the top 6 and we´re needing them to drop around 15 to give anyone a chance.

Teams are beaten in the tunnel. They are approaching games against Liverpool as teams did against Ferguson at United. They just want to take their defeat and get it over with.

Definitely feels as though teams are rolling over for them whilst they raise their game against City.

Pipe down soy boy.

A normal amount of luck and they're outside the top 4. Just had decision after decision go for them.

On the Salah dive, he has to get a 3 match ban a la Niasse if the FA want to retain any sort of credibility.

Lack of self belief is everything when teams are going onto a pitch. If they look at that Liverpool team and don´t think they can get anything then it´s game over before a ball is kicked. We´re desperate for an average team to take points off them. Gives everyone else a tactic to copy or at the very least the belief they can get a result.

I think the big difference this season with RS is their mentality, they are now able to grind out wins when needs be against the lesser teams, whereas last season they couldn't. That's the difference between them and City, City are bottling it, the RS will now see a point at City as enough, and they'll grind one out.

They've been the best balanced team in the first half of the season. They have had luck but all teams need it. If they play the same way in the second half of the season and teams don't get at them a bit more they'll win the league. Still a long way to go though.
