ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

I'm very, very worried. Just have to pray that they will bottle it due to the pressure of the 'make us dream' brigade. But I'm starting to lose hope. It seems every team in the league just loves to roll over for them. They're a great side but the mental block they apply to so many teams esp. at anfield is just crazy. Some teams are just happy to leave that place without a mauling it seems.

You’d need longer than a week . The mass hysteria after 2005 from the media alone went on for over a month.
To be fair, winning the European Cup always garners more attention, it was the same when Man Utd and Chelsea won it. An English club wins the Premier League every year. Leicester nearly had a Hollywood Film made about them for winning it and it was pretty much universally celebrated. The reaction won't be anything like that if a club that has already won the league 18 times and has the worlds most expensive defender and 2nd most expensive goalkeeper and has spent more money than anyone in the last 2 or 3 years wins the league, it's not that big a story.

Mate Man Utd won the treble and didn’t get half the coverage Liverpool got . Same with Chelsea’s champions league win .

Bit of a joke that.

I never knew being pulled ok the arm made your legs crumble into nothing.

I’ll be careful from now on when going about my daily business.
He had a near career ending, possibly life threatening shoulder injury, inflicted by that filthy Ramos, to his shoulders. Cannot underestimate the affect that will have on him. Any slight touch to that shoulder, will be like a Fabian Delph style double foot to someone else. He's past his man and gets contact which interprets his momentum. It's an obvious penalty and if anything, Salah should be protected more than he is.

I don't think that's true at all. The media went on about Man Utd's treble for pretty much the next year. They covered their return ceremony at the MEN Arena live ffs!!

To be fair, they did win a treble.
The RS haven't won jack pooh yet and they're still getting wall-to-wall, 24/7 coverage.

Even if Arsenal take points at Anfield we need City to get their act together.

Spurs are bottle jobs and sadly its going to take a massive bottle job by the RS for City to catch them imo. They dont look a happy camp at present.

Yes. I agree.

However, pressure can change things dramatically.

A team suddenly being hailed as champions getting their apparently unassailable lead reduced can suddenly feel edgy and vulnerable, and teams thought to have slipped off their previous seasons standards and blown it for this season suddenly feel like they have a lifeline again.

ATM it looks like Liverpool's year. However, I would really like to see how they're able to respond to any narrowing of the current gap.
