ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Not being funny but thats a load of rubbish. They are top because they have conceeded 7 goals and sorted out the stupid mistakes of last season.

It's no conspiracy at all.

They have been very lucky, some poor finishing from oppo players, T-Rex hands bouncing it off the crossbar, but every team in the league has these things happen every week. Its not luck or a CONSPIRCACECEEE, as you say, they are top on merit, unbeaten all season, putting utter tosh to the sword, beating their rivals, scoring loads and conceding none.

As painful as the above is to type, they are very much where they deserve to be.

I despise them but to say anything different seems to be a bit deluded , hopefully it’ll end badly for them but in reality they’re a very decent side .

Went through the 70s horror with us not winning a trophy for 14 years and the gobshites winning everything in sight, so if they do win the prem, its all a bit "so what?" to me.....it will be a one off, and a Ferguson type dynasty will not happen imo. Have loads of sympathy though with those who have never seen us win anything for 23 years and have been consoled by the fact that they have not reached the heights of the 70s and 80s. We need to win a trophy sooner rather than later, a cup (which we have more chance of) to start raising our own profile as we did in the 80s, which cheesed them off more than they were prepared to admit. Klopp has, in part adapted his team's style and addressed the defensive deficiencies.....but there is still half a season to go, and folks who are crowning them champions now are a little over reacting. 20 games to go, not 3 or 4...a lot can happen until May.

Must be a coincidence that they are the only team not have a decision go against them, I also think they are over represented in the media.

Make no mistake, this will be a terrible experience for Evertonians if/when they win the PL. They are the Establishment club, and it would be celebrated every bit as much as if England had won the World Cup. The accolades and tv programmes and documentaries wont stop coming for years. They will be presented as "the club that the whole country wanted to see crowned champions". Man Utd have always had the glamour, like some Hollywood star. The showbiz club. Liverpool, though, are the club that are presented as 'traditional' - part of the fabric of everyday English life, like the Queen, the BBC, the Grand National, Marks & Spencer, red telephone boxes, the bulldog.

It is going to come at us, wave after wave of sycophantic adulation. The longer they went without winning it, the greater the reaction was always going to be to their eventual landing of it. And after 30 years of failure, you can be sure we'll never hear the end of it. Not just through the summer, but over the next decade. Those playing it down on here are kidding themselves. The people who say 'it;'s best to get it over with' or 'I wont give a toss, I'm just concentrating on Everton'. That's a fairy story you're telling yourself, I'm afraid.

I don't care what anybody says, IT WILL NOT HAPPEN. People on here are getting as bad as the kopites themselves, ready to hand the title to them before we've even reached January.
There are plenty of twists, turns and slips to come yet.

Vault me by all means (but wait until 12th May 2019 before doing so)

I'm saying IF it happens mate.

This is as big a crisis in that respect as there's been. I'm looking at who they have a very good lead over and not liking what I see. Hopefully they get a spanner in the works in the next game or two and it's game on again.

You have no idea about me. Let me tell you who I am: an Evertonian who has forgotten in the last hour more than you'll ever know about the club. You cant feel the way I do about Liverpool. You just cant understand it. I am bluer than you. Sorry, that's just the way it is.

Happy New Year.
