ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

That Rotherham fella saying much.

Of course not mate. None of them have. It's all deflect deflect deflect and it always is.

Someone mentioned in another thread, their issues run much much deeper than a small section of them.

I don't care how much they sweep it under the carpet, we know what they've done, what they are like, the embarrassment they bring onto themselves, the embarrassment they bring to the city.

The state of winning a trophy and the frothing at the mouth to wreck their own city, trash outside their own stadium, batter each other, stab each other.

If your a rs supporter (not meaning you mate ;)) and your not on social media condemning what's gone on then you are just as much part of the problem.

I think it was a pretty awful weekend for them really. I appreciate we would all like things to be condemned more, and more accountability taken (and it may well be in time) but the fact LFC had to put out a statement accepting responsibility for the actions but also but the rise in cases if/when they happen is quite important.

Just like with the Atletico game, if in 2 months cases spike we all know exactly what will have caused it and there will be pressing questions to answer.

We are obviously very frustrated with them. Essentially we have to live with the spoilt, violent, self serving, thoughtless siblings so it will always seem worse to us. However what you have to measure things by is not necessarily how much we are angered by them, but how much wider publicity it gets. While we'd always want it to be more, and portrayed in a worse way, it got a fair bit of coverage which will affect sponsors.

Don't rule out a few knobheads travelling to Manchester either. The difference is though, where Merseyside police basically allow them to commit arson because they don't think they can intervene as their may be children present, they will get the appropriate treatment from their police force.

Kopites are uploading these videos so the World can see, with particular key words or hashtags in the captions. Merseyside Police are searching for key words/hashtags, viewing the videos and recording them (they employ people to do this)...

And it is Everton grasses laaaaaaa.

It is beyond thick. They've got no idea how this works. The police are going to pick up a fair few of them.

They have all the videos on social media, including where they are saying eachothers names. All of the videos handed in to them that haven't been uploaded. The police bodycam footage. And loads of CCTV, you know, because it was IN TOWN where they were attacking the Police.

So do you think there's a chance of more arrests as a result of this?

If so, happy days. Hopefully loads of them lose their livelihoods as a result, and having a criminal record going into the recession we are going into isn't going to be particularly pleasant for them either. What a shame.

You cant have a go at Klopp hete imo. He doesnt have to weite an open letter, he could have left a statement to the club. Or waited to be asked at the next conference, or ignored it completely.

I think he doesnt want to go in on the whole fanbase as it was after all just 2 or 3 firing fireworks (also dont think the stabbing has been officially confirmed - so he wont want to speak on that) but he is actually making a point here.

I applaud him for it to be honest, as I think he will be disgusted but doesnt want to lay into them.

It's a weak and feeble letter, but as you say at least he's saying something. It's not his job to say something, others need to be far more vocal.

Yep, 100%.

Theyve got all kinds of screenshots and angles. There may be a social media appeal to help ID people.

100% mate they've seen it.

If they are active on fb or twitter it has been impossible not to have seen it or heard about it. They are in denial about it so won't mention it and will pretend nothing has happened

See no evil
Hear no evil
Speak no evil
Only one is red, must be cos he’s got a mug. They’ve no reason to deny seeing it.

btw the one with the mug is in his thirties and never been to Anfield in his puff. Was hoping to be able to get a ticket this season for one of the games:pint2:
