Clearly Watford didn't really beat the RS given that the bookies decide the outcome.

They got that wrong but so did the majority of people.

I never said Liverpool didn't want to win, but the mindset for them would have changed due to them already securing the title and a heavy weekend of celebrating no doubt affected them as well.

I think they’d want to win it even more just to prove they are the best team and end any question marks.

The fact that City were big odds on favourites for the title next season before the game shows that everyone still sees them as by far the better side and this year was a blip whilst they focused on the CL.

They’re team selection showed they were out to make a statement and put City in there place. They’re just not in the same league as City though. They’re the best team in the world right now and favourites for every tournament they enter.

They look more like a Blackburn or Leicester.

You get dynasties with title winning teams where the best players are all mid-20s; their best players are 28/29 - still with a season at the very top, but no more than that.

Yes, they have some kids coming through, but there is no evidence beyond one or two games to make assumptions on.

I disagree. I see Chelsea and City as the teams to beat.

VAR: the whole point of VAR is not accuracy - of course it isn't, we can all see that now. The point of VAR was always to do with spectacle: making talking points and generating controversy and tweaking passions and expectations IN PACKED STADIUMS. It was an industry innovation for that purpose and no other.

It makes no sense to do that (on the regular basis it has been) in stadiums without fans in them...or even ones with massively reduced capacity - as it will be at best from September. In a sterile environment like that it serves no function.

They are lacking truly great players to form a proper dynasty. Mane, Salah ladytramp are good but aren't a patch on your Rooneys, Henry, cr7, Aguero as taslimanic players that can win games single handedly. And they have nothing of the quality that city have in the middle of the park would argue that KDB, Silva, Foden, Fernandinho, Bernardo and Rodri are all better options then the headless chooks
