ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I see they’ve apologised to the families for allowing their new sponsors Nike to produce balls for sale with the 96 logo on and the flames next to it.

Further confirmation that the 96 are becoming a brand. It’s disgusting and something many of us could see coming.
This was well hidden on the Echo site. Any other club it would be headline news.

Somebody at the club must have approved it. It was already in production.
Uncanny how they react when criticism occurs following something that should never have been discussed.. let alone sanctioned. Remember the Furlough charade. Their merchandising executives must surely have approved the design given their marketing is a massive facet of their turnover and "brand". A shameful disgrace to their own.

You know, looking back over the last week or so, it really has been magnificent...

Cast your minds back - only three months or so ago they were crowing about being unbeaten and looking like powering to the earliest title ever before a series of huge parties to the end of the season accompanied by a massive elongated circle jerk from the media

Fast forward, and in the last week they have won that title after a long lay-off and rule changes, in empty grounds and to a TV audience who largely couldn't care less, and by virtue of a 1-0 victory in someone else's game. Were that not enough, they proceeded to put the icing on that already beautiful cake by dragging their own reputations through the mud in spectacular fashion. To cap it all, the league immediately broke for the cup games and any momentum for celebrations completely evaporated. Now really nobody cares, and it's less than a week since they won it!

It is a script written by an Evertonian god. In February or March none of us could have dared to hope for a conclusion as glorious as this. Drink it in, boys - that popcorn makes you thirsty... :celebrate:
So, one more defeat will mean they can't beat City's points total record then

The milestones just keep crumbling for them, don't they?

They might say they'd won it and so took their foot off. Well, you gang of inbred pangolin-botherers, you'll notice Arsenal's invincibles won the league with several games to go, and they still didn't lose. That was a proper team, you see.

Their world is crumbling around them, and I'm loving it! :celebrate:
Are you for real? They're top of the league by a record number of points but the world is crumbling around them? The other day you were saying their title win was written by Evertonian gods.

I wish I could have some more of what you're on because you are seeing a bed of roses rather than a steaming pile of poo!

Was that before or after someone pointed out how wrong that was?

The fans already see it as a brand , as a badge of honour almost. It's so frustrating to see people not even affected by the tragedy roll it off like it's a club catchphrase. Ynwa jft96

Liverpool Football Club has apologised after an "error" led to a Hillsborough reference appearing on designs for a piece of merchandise.

An error they called it. How could it be an error, Nike must have shown the LFC merchandise people the design, possibly even one of the balls before they went on sale and they’ve said ‘yeah, sound them’
Horrible club.
