I know it's a joke, and I've had a bit of a joke about the Shankly statue, but why would anybody in their right mind want to go and damage those statues. Shankly, Dean, the Holy Trinity, Alex Ferguson, Dalglish etc these people are all legends of the game. They brought enormous joy and happiness to ordinary people.Why would anybody want to go and attack them?

Beggars belief that they can stand all over wreaths laid by grieving families to carry out their wanton acts of vandalism.
Completely different breed to the rest of us. Vile scum

Whoever Shankly managed, he was a legend of the game. I've got no desire to start defacing statues, or particularly memeorials. I suppose that's what differentiates us as fanbases. Those who think it's acceptable to mock the memory of those who are dead, and those who are appalled by it. I'm glad we are on the side of the fence we are.
 
Why are Everton playing this whole thing down - "no permanent damage" - pure luck that there isn't any lasting damage, the statue could have been melted to slag and they prob wouldn't kick off! Grow a spine as a club for god's sake, and get stuck right into the kopite barstewards - no wonder that shower of shithouses on the pitch play like they do for us, they represent the higher echelons of our spineless club very well.

Derbys going forward are gonna be very messy now sadly, I think, but no doubt we will get all the blame.
