ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Liverpool is probably the fittest team in the league right now, same as klopp old team but they fell apart, how long did the team last before falling apart with fatigue?

In the Bundesliga you mean? He didnt have so much resources supporting him here at BVB. The backroom staffs I mean. He was incharge of the technical aspect of football, while the support staffs and their scouting/hiring/firing were handled by Zorc whom Klopp trusted immensely. Well BVB didnt have such a big name atleast back then. Any player coming in, any staff coming in, had a preference and the preferred club was almost always Bayern München. That changed in 2011 when Klopp won the Bundesliga with BVB. And again in 2012. And then finished 2nd in 2013 and 2014.

That summer, Zorc was approached to recruit upgrades on a fitness specialist, a nutrition specialist and a totally new rehabilitation specialist. But only the latter 2 were possible. This created a lot of problem with the fitness as they were unable to "predict" injuries and take necessary preventive course of action. Their then fitness specialist wasnt able to handle the extra fixtures and extra travelling. Their form hence suffered massively. And they finished 7th or 6th if I remember right.

If Klopp identifies a problem (and Klopp is very very good at that), he looks out for ways to solve it. If the owners back him, then he can be successful. And thats what is happening with Liverpool. As long as the owners support Klopp by supporting his judgement, I dont think they will have an issue. Atleast my opinion. His right hand man Zielko "the brain" Buvac had been with Klopp for almost 18 years. Him and Peter Krawitz or something. He left the club in 2018 before the Roma game after they had an disagreement. But that didnt seem to affect him last season when they came second with 97 points and won the champions league.

Lady Kopites!

Are people really so stupid that they can't think of at least 10 incidents where Liverpool are always the victim and it's never their fault apart from the one where it wasn't their fault?

So good old Suzy has a pop at the Man U women's fans, has a pop at the Man U men's fans, and also has a pop at Man City. You really do have to laugh at how stuff like this is only ever brought up when it's against the RS, and yet journalists say they are baffled as to why fans of other clubs have a pop at them for being right up the ring piece of the RS.

We hate praising Liverpool but they have the greatest PR machine in any industry. Why do I say this? Well they have been by and large an utter irrelevance for 30 years in the league and yet still seen as one of the biggest clubs in the world. They have garned favourable media throughout this period by all the ex RS pros who work in it. They piggy backed on United's success to stay relevant and along with Sky, created the biggest match outside of Barcelona/Madrid in the world when they play United. This has led to some of their fans worldwide going on about a history that was created some 20 years before they were even born. Istanbul and the manner in which they won gave them a much needed shot in the arm. This decade alone Chelsea's success has dwarfed theirs and they're still not half as big as Liverpool.

European football to me is in a downswing of quality, Liverpool with excellent signings and a fantastic manager are on an upswing. I think what happens is players/managers try to take on Liverpool the club rather than the team in front of them. They buy into the Anfield myth despite the fact it's like a morgue after they have sang their funeral song. They listen to sky and their pundits when they say they are City's equals. The champions vs challengers nonsense last year when Spurs where second is just creating this whole circus when Liverpool come calling. There is a pressure now when you play them in this country and I think that more than any conspiracy about players being paid off is leading to mistakes.

To back up my point more look at their away record in Europe where teams wont hear or read half the tripe said about Liverpool. They seem them as beatable. Anfield rolls round and teams crumble, again going back to the myth around the place.

Like it or not they're a very good side, who with a very good manager and their brand behind them are going to create pressure and get results. It's all psychological rather than sinister. I actually think once they lose once in the league, they'll lose a few.

Excellent post.
However, what they have also done is to very successfully weaponize Hillsborough.
Any criticism of the club, the players, the team, the fans in the slightest is turned around by them
as an attack on the Hillsborough tragedy. It has worked so successfully, that any of the media (and I do mean any) be it newspapers, TV, social media etc are absolutely scared to death to even utter anything negative about Liverpool on any subject matter at any time. In fact, they go out of their way to do the opposite just to stay on the safe side - so everything reported about them is ultra positive. This constant and ongoing drip, drip effect over time has a massive influence on how they are reported and perceived. They are the media darlings.
Nothing negative about them is never reported or broadcast. The classic example being the recent computer hacking scandal. If it was any other club bar Liverpool the media would have been all over it. If the hacking had actually been into the Liverpool computers by City scouts then I simply dread to think what the coverage would have been like. However, bar The Times the rest of the media have steered totally clear of it. Hardly a mention anywhere - if any at all. That tells you all you need to know. Couple this with the TV, radio & printed media being infested with ex-Liverpool players as 'pundits' and co-commentators and you have the perfect cocktail of sustained positive exposure and reporting on all things Liverpool.

Made the mistake of having a peek at RAWK earlier this morning. I only ever really go onto the ‘General’ forum and everything on there is essentially ‘look how rubbish (pick any team) are and ‘aren’t we great and isn’t the rest of civilisation incredibly jealous of how utterly brilliant/boss we are’(and you know at least 4/5 of those using the term ‘boss’ are probably Scandinavian or from Slough) and ‘Jurgen’s ‘project’ will last 1000 years’ (Like the Third Reich). Horrible specimens.

so in just the past month they have been caught hacking another teams scouting network AND been caught fielding an ineligible player in a cup game and they blame the FA for their ineligible player. A few days later when opposition fans sing 'its never your fault' they claim its about something that happened 30 years ago and not last weeks cheating that they are trying to pass the blame on.
LOL

Why oh why did I listen....

Missus ,"Come and meet me in town when u've finished for a few beers"

Me, " No it'll be full of bellend plassie daytrippers gawking around looking ridiculous and dressed like an explosion in a used jam-rag factory"

Her, "No it's ok today, I've just been out and it's dead quiet, not full of reds"

Me, " I don't believe ya but ok"

" Gahhhhhhhhh..........."

Did they also write a piece about them singing Munich 58 songs recently at a wake.

TEN pics relating to the RS (players, managers, match action). NIL from Everton related stuff. So be under “No Illusion” about their editorial policy.
