ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Listen to what you’re saying. Can you imagine the sheer size of operation required to covertly manipulate multiple decisions in favour of one club?

Christ, people were saying last week that Sheff Utd’s GK was on the take to throw the ball in.

If that’s Kean, not Mane, you’re shouting pen like the rest of us mate. It’s embarrassing to claim otherwise.

It's very easy to influence officials, they are human...if a ref makes a decision that benefits Liverpool, the media ignore it and the ref (and VAR officials) get no criticism...

If the decision goes against Liverpool, let's just say Leicester got that same peno in the last minute yesterday, it would be a huge deal today, VAR would be the worst thing ever, and that Ref would be reffing in league 1 next weekend...

The Sheffield United goal was pure luck...yesterdays penalty was bias... Kean wouldn't have got it, that's the difference...and personally I wouldn't want to win a game from one of our players cheating, I guess you would, which is fine too....

Leicester would of got the same yesterday, as would Kean.

Var has its flaws but it's consistent for everyone.
It doesn't provide different results for the top 6 compared to everyone else.

No they wouldn't... I've seen City denied a similar peno this season when Bernardo was fouled like that.... They should have had a peno against Spurs too...

The difference is, if a Leicester player had gone down in the 93rd minute, the ref would have waived play on.... Then VAR would have looked at it, and deemed although there was contact, the ref hadn't made 'a clear and obvious mistake', so no peno....thats the wording which allows for bias...

You're embarrassing yourself. He clearly kicks his leg. Mane goes down when he doesn't need to, but the contact was there. VAR was never going to overturn it and it wouldn't have for any team.
The same officials looked at the trent stamp from behind and came to the conclusion that it was not a kick so how can they come to the opposite outcome unless it's fixed.

No they came to the conclusion that it wasn’t a red, as did the ref at 1st glance. The ref then gave the pen, they looked and, even if they thought it was soft, they didnt sufficiently disagree to overturn it.

It was a soft pen because he didn’t have to go down. Soft, certainly. But it was still a pen. Much like the offsides for Spurs, City and Chelsea this season, they were very marginal, but they were offsides.

Oj was innocent, Jacko wasn't a peado, racism doesn't exist and the RS don't get lucky calls from refs.

Just some of sage Keirans musings

didn’t say OJ was innocent, didn’t say racism doesn’t exist and didn’t say that they don’t get lucky calls.

But sure, we’ll remember it your way eh!
