ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Could mean surgery if it's a level III tear.

No one wants to see players injured, but if they have to be then it's best if they're all Liverpool players and they're out for months.

I do though. I really do want to see key Liverpool players out for months and months. Any other clubs players too really.

We're in the same competition as them; I want a competitive advantage.

They get paid enough for the risk of injury.

I envisage quite a few long term injuries for them this season. Their squad will be overstretched. They have a load of midfielders and nothing else. Come winter will be fancy danning around with lalana and chamberliane going side to side. Plenty of nil nils

I hope he is out for the season. Biggest scumbaggery club on the Planet and they deserve as much misery as can be thrown at them. Would make a nice change from the ten ton of luck that is thrown at them.

Every single RS would be laughing their bollox off and wanting the same if it was Pickford so feck them.

...well, I'd rather they were just rubbish, but if they're not and an injury sidleines them.....

Imagine the rage if the MEN ran a story suggesting Allison’s injury was in some way favourable to City’s cause as those the intrepid sports journalists at the Red Echo did over Sane’s ACL. Disgusting. I hate the Echo and I’ll hate any fan of any team who celebrates or rejoices in the misfortune of any player.

I'm a City fan and this thread is brilliant. It helped me through the tension of last season. It's all well and good reading our own fans' comments about the RS, but reading fans of other clubs really sticking the boot in on the team I hate most is the stuff of poetry. Keep it up!

Anyway, a cultist at work today told me "I hope Sane is out for the whole year and the same thing happens to Sterling, the t**t." The Alisson injury therefore gives me a smug sense of satisfaction but I know that the injuries will pile up for us regardless. Therefore ordinarily I wouldn't revel in such misfortune. He's the most overhyped goalkeeper of all time anyway. When they paid £66m for him and he followed the comic genius that is Loris Karius, he was always going to be elevated to stratospheric levels in the weird world of RS football logic. Routine saves became Gordon Banks vs Brazil in 1970. Has he really been that good?

Dont want to see anyones livelihood at risk regardless of which club they play for.

I want them to fail from not being good enough and not gloat over their misfortune.

So I feel bad for Allison and hope he's back at work soon. Then drops everything and looks balls.
The same club who fans had songs about Colemans leg.

Thing is he isnt that good anyway, so him being in or out wont make much differance

Some of those players looked goosed from about the 60th minute onwards. Mane coming on have them fresh pace but few of the players looked like they were blowing. Be a tough season for them this year.

Oh a serious injury in the first game of the season, and here is my thinking they where drugged up hyper athletics.

I’m so sad.

Yes even Klopp thought the worst, any idiot can read between the lines..

Oh dear just what Jürgen didn't want...

"He thought something hit him in the calf, which is never a good sign, that means it's probably a bit more than a strain and we'll have to make the diagnosis tomorrow. We don't know what it is exactly but it doesn't look too good"

:D

I'll be honest the description of that sounds like an Achilles rupture to me. I did mine and looked behind me because I was sure someone had booted me in the leg.
