ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

One of my kopite mates has taken it in a very dignified manner.

There are some decent ones out there and I know both of them.
It’s not hard is it. Can’t understand why most can’t act this way.

“Yeah we were crap, best team won” whilst remembering to themselves that in the last 2 years they’ve won a CL and PL so it’s not the end of the world for them.

No. They’ll find a way to do something horrendously cringeworthy to ‘celebrate’ with their customers.

Expect violence, criminal damage and a load of armchair/alehouse cockroaches scuttling out of their sordid little holes to show that ‘it means more’ to them.

I can see them doing something really stupid like trying to attend the parade in Manchester, with stupid signs to say it doesn't count as there were no fans present (with no sense of irony that it means last season doesn't count either).

Then they'll just get chased all around Manchester and sh1t themseves in the process as they do.

I actually thought the ref did well today. The only oversight was not sending Arnold off. I know it's a harsh rule, but I have no idea why he didn't do that a it's an open and shut case. Calvert Lewin is about to tap it into an empty net.
You're right. But I'm glad they didn't red card him. All the headlines would have been 10 man liverpool succumb to defeat.

Now they need to talk about how well we played and how the penalty was correct.

Where do you think they'll finish?

Their last 4 games are 3pt bankers on paper but it doesnt really work like that...

It's really hard to say, but what I'd say is that the floor is getting lower and greater equity in it. They are probably in a fight for like 4-10th now, whereas it was 2-5th before.

There is a growing chance the season collapses for them, and by that I mean they pick up around a point a game, or slightly better until the end of the season. It's probably now 12-13 games domestically where that is their performance level. Last 10 they are less than a point a game. Returning players-new signings are not helping at all either.

If I was laying them I'd say they probably finish 5th. You'd hedge United and Leicester wouldn't fall away dramatically (though both could) and Tuchels momentum will see Chelsea in there. They probably come next. Who knows though. Loads of variables this season. They've got a lot of work to do this season to recover top 4.

Heads are all gone over the penalty. Not one of these Liverpool fans can see TAA swing a boot out at DCL apparently. Nah, outright cheating and referee corruption.

Funny how they never moaned at all for the first half of last season when every dodgy decision went their way.
Tbf, Chris Kavanagh deserves credit here, Marriner told him to go and look at the monitor, subtext: “let’s overturn it Chris”. But he had another look for himself and thought, “nah, I was right, it’s a pen”

One thing for sure they would snap your hand of for 4th right now.

Il bet Sheff Utd fancy their chances against them next week.

Yes they would. I don't make them favourites for 4th and in honesty they could end up falling a lot further in the league as well.

These are not short term measures either. Over the last 10 games they are bottom 3, over the last 13/14 domestic games I think it's like 11 points in 14 (if you include that United cup tie). It's possible a side ends up turning it's form around to (at least) double it's performance level because Diogo Jota comes back. But is his return as important as say Henderson's absence? I think more players will go down injured too as Klopp has mis managed them.
