ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

The media (who they run)have already changed the narrative to defend their beloved club/fans,I truly hope UEFA gather all the evidence including how the Real Madrid fans appeared to have no problems entering the stadium and throw the book at them.
the whitewash was in full flow this morning in R5 so I hd to turn off. Even the Merseyside police spotters were in on it which may give credence to the RS storyline until you recall that it is the same police spotter who spotted no one doing anything wrong when the City coach was wrecked.

Sadly, another stadium disaster will happen to that club, sadly, as before, the victims of the disaster will be entirely innocent, they never learn.

It's obvious that these Johnny Foreigners don't know how to organise a big event...

"Since its inauguration in 1998, Stade de France fulfills this mission and offers French spectators the most exceptional events : 1998 FIFA World Cup, 2003 World Athletics Championship, 2007 Rugby World Cup, three Champions League finals in 2000, 2006 and 2022, 2010 Heineken Cup final (currently named European Rugby Champions Cup) and the UEFA Euro 2016. Stade de France will also host ten games during the 2023 Rugby World Cup (which is taking place in France), and will host some events during the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games (also taking place in France).

Stade de France is the stadium that hosted the largest number of prestigious sporting events in the World.

Legendary shows were added to Stade de France's History : From The Rolling Stones to AC/DC, Madonna to the Black Eyed Peas, Johnny Halliday to U2, but also from Coldpay to the Red Hot Chili Peppers... the World's greatest artists have performed at Stade de France.

Stade de France has hosted more than 500 special events and about 35 million spectators since its inauguration."

it is a shame that this sensible element in their fanbase aren't more vocal to eradicate the blerts. There are some genuine RS fans who we all probably know who are decent, the posters above being the same, their club and fanbase attract a toxic dangerous element that will once again cause deaths and sadly it will be the decent innocents that will die. Stop whitewashing and do something to eradicate it,

The BBC sports reporter has just said that the trouble started when local youths tried to get into the stadium…words fail

I've been to four sell out events at Stade de France. Two football and two rugby. No issues and everything started on time.

I knew it wouldn't take much for French police to get heavy handed. The policing could have been better.

The issue seems to have started from too many without tickets or with fake tickets. Then fans jumping and rushing.

Blame on all sides so it will be interesting to see who actually accepts it.

Klopp encouraging fans without tickets to travel was extremely dangerous and silly.

How many times in your lifetime has the European Cup/Champions League final had a delayed kick-off?
I can think of 2 such occasions(there may be more) and the common denominator is that Liverpool Football Club were involved in both of them…amazing how Chelsea fans and local youths only cause problems for them in the whole 66 years of the competition.

The media have a lot to answer for as well. Not for covering this up, as they’ve covered past indiscretions up, that’s certainly a problem but perhaps not the main contributor.

They’ve spoken about Liverpool and it’s fans like they are this all conquering ‘special team’ 24/7 365 days a year. If you watch any game of football even when they’re not involved then Sky BT or the BBC are invariably still making it all about them. If they’d re involved then it’s starting coverage early to listen to YNWA. Every player they have is the best in the world maybe ever in their position, their manager is the best maybe ever, their stadium is the best, their fans are the best. Kids are being brought up on a diet that they are this mythical special team and everything always goes their way. Sadly the PL have kowtowed to that and now referees have ensured that the games they should have lost this season largely haven’t happened.

It all just results in those moments of humility that happen to every fanbase every year not happening to them. So when they lose a final against a team that every single bit of media they’ll have seen assured them that they would routinely beat by a lot of goals, they’re just completely unprepared to handle it. A lot of these fans won’t have seen their team lose a game live for 5 years thanks to the ridiculous match manipulation that occurs at Anfield in the prem. they’re not used to so much as a throw in being given against them.

So when they do finally lose, it’s just too much to handle, their egos and sense of self importance have been inflated to such a point that they can’t rationalise ‘maybe we got outdone by a team with more experience and more individual quality with a manager who is more tactically flexible, and the luck we had in the two domestic cup finals wasn’t there tonight’. No, they see it as some sort of affront, there must he something wrong, someone must have to pay for this, and then they take that anger out wherever they are.

The English media need to sort themselves out because their acting as LFC fan channels is embarrassing and has caused a lot of the mess we’re now seeing.

Only when they don't win. As long as he wins he keeps up this fake persona of being really likeable and approachable.

It's bizarre the way his interview 'technique' varies. He did a pre match one last night and practically spoke gibberish, shaking his head - kind of twitching to try and get his point across. I've seen him do this a few times usually when it's something that irks him or he finds uncomfortably questioning.

Likewise, his use of English is polarised - from perfectly articulate to mumbling, gabbled incoherence...none of the 'kooky Kloppy' everyone is supposed to love and describe as a 'breath of fresh air'. Its basically a thin veneer for the surly dismissive narcissism of a very good manager, yet a complex nark in waiting - both on the touchline and off.
