ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

All players have their peak, especially forwards in their early 30s. It just takes a couple of % slowing down in reaction times at this level and they're gone.

He'll be as good as ever next season (if he doesn't pick up an injury) but thereafter they'll have to replace him. IMO they needed to bite the bullet and rebuild this summer because next season is not hapening for them as serious challengers to City.

Another thought: if FSG have scrapped their own wage structure for this and he then gets injured and doesn't really come back after it, that is a heavy price to pay. This reperesnts a gamble by Liverpool. IMO they swerved a tough descision and haven't been bold enough.

Must be looking at the boardroom door dreading g hearing the knock of Van Dyke, how much is Salad on boss ?

Van Dijk is an ego maniac, so was Mane (hence why he left). Along with Salah they genuinely think they should be winning the ballon dor. Van Gaal even had to pipe Van Dijk down. He’ll definitely be put out by this.

Undoiubtedly.

Klopp has his massive wage and he knows he'll be leaving, what does he care about wage structures that others will have to deal with?

Only the five news articles about Salah's new contract on Livescore.

Full marks to Salah and his agent. They've played a game here and won. Liverpool have blinked first.

For weeks they've been telling us that they don't pay obscene wages, have a wage structure, won't be held to ransom and Salah is no longer the same player. Well, when push came to shove they folded and caved in to his demands. I wonder what @EverTheOptimist thinks about Salah being paid more money per week than any single Manchester City player. The myth about Liverpool living on a shoestring is eroding by the day.

Salah can thank Mane for getting this new deal. If Mane had signed a new deal then they might have been more firm in their stance with Salah, but they knew full well that they couldn't lose Salah and Mane in the same summer or Salah for nothing next summer.
