ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Logic says some of them probably do, must be a temptation for all footballers. Do I think we have a club orchestrated sophisticated doping campaign? If we do we must be carrying it out very badly (although that wouldn’t be a shock either). We’ve been consistently awful for ages with very few unusual periods of form or performances over the norm, our players are utterly injury prone, and most of our players are blowing after about ten minutes (that’s if they’ve bothered running), so if we are doping then our players must actually be absolutely awful (actually I could buy that as well).

It would be hard for any club to orchestrate a doping campaign as we all have squads from different parts of the world who have different beliefs and religions they follow.

Not everyone is going to agree and would feel disgusted at the suggestion to some people.

Same for the coaching staff.

See we had our usual LFC themed question on ITV,s The Chase tonight, this time referring to the spirit of Shankly group, you would think the Premier league was a one man band going by the question devisors on that programme.
Question on Mastermind too tonight. Who won the 2022 Cup Final on penalties?

The UK Anti-doping agency performs about 2000 tests per season on Premier League players, and every player must have an Athlete Biological Passport. How do you suppose they have all managed to avoid this?

COYB!

John.
because what they are doing isn't in the scope for tests. If the tests are looking for substance A, but Lance Armstrong FC are taking substance B, the tests will show -ve for substance A, but will report not a jot about substance B.

Doping and supplements are very close to each other these days. What’s a supplement this year maybe classed as ped the next year. I don’t expect that teams are using each others bloods, or taking steroids but I do expect that teams are using supplements to that are very close to the line and in the grey areas.
Also if a doctor says you are asthmatic for example, you are allowed treatment for it. Same goes for other conditions. The team doctors more inclined the prescribe said drugs or conditions.
It’s not in anyone’s interest to take * medicine* and see an improvement and then claim they didn’t need the medicine
