ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Henderson going to Saudi proves all his gesturing was nothing more that publicised virtue signaling. Talkshabite is doing mental gymnastics at the minute trying to justify it. Only Jim White seems to be calling him out on it, but in his own way by asking why he didn't make it a part of his leaving speech.

Truth is theyre all full of it

Really confused to read all the Henderson LGBT stuff that hes done?

No idea about it at all. Isnt it just like what our players do ? Or is there something above and beyond he did?

Surely his 'brand' was captain of liverpool and england player.

Very confusing.

Didn't see that. The BBC evening news did a piece on him leaving and reported it as a straight news story, no mention of LGBT at all.
Absolutely shocking. It has completely no merit as a news story apart from the LGBT hypocrisy angle which they just ignored.

Throw away quote which is typical from players with media training.

Hes being made out to be an LGBT icon and its the first id heard of it.

He put himself out there as the footballing face of the rainbow campaign. He is not being made to be an icon, but it is a big campaign and he said what he said with meaning, at the forefront of that campaign.

I personally don't think saying things like he did there should ever be seen as a throwaway comment, unfortunately, it is now because he has just thrown the sentiment of togetherness, the sentiment of not wanting to see people killed because of who they are, right back in the faces of those people who are being killed and those who do feel unsafe in certain environments, and for what, an increase to his already massive generational wealth.

The guy is a disgrace and should be held accountable for what he has said in the past and what he is doing now.

Hitzlsperger was absolutely spot on with his comments. There has been a massive push for football to be welcoming to all and as I said Henderson had put himself as the face of that campaign,

As an added point, I had to laugh at a couple of comments, on Hitzlspergers' post, that he would take the money as well. Erm.... yeah OK monkey for brains, he would take the money to be beheaded as soon as he stepped off the plane

Fair enough, ive not seen any campaign but if thats the case then it makes sense why hes being called out.

This whole thing is just money laundering, I'm completely convinced of it. Theres no conceivable way anyone should pay 40m for Fabinho. He's completely done.

Its not money laundering, people keep saying that, but im not sure people know what that term means.

Its sport washing and / or increasing value to circumvate FFP, its not money laundering.

Paying over the odds for a player makes that money clean. Ergo, if the payment was to be made with illicit money, going through a legal channel with almost no oversight makes it money laundering, no?
