ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

It is difficult to estimate the exact number of Liverpool fans that are from the city. However, in December 2020, it was revealed that 5,832 of Liverpool’s 27,000 season ticket holders had Liverpool postcodes. This compares to 25,647 of Everton’s 30,500 season ticket holders who had Liverpool postcodes.

Arrogant fkin w*nkers

Let's face it, he comes from the south end. Everton's major presence is and always has been in the north end and in places in the suburbs where north enders were decanted out to. Of course he thinks the city is red. Everton have never had a major presence in the south end.

Elliott looking sheepish there being from Surrey. Jones proudly running his stupidity up a flagpole - vintage Kopite style...who'd have thought that an RS parade crowd would be all red. (Apart from Plug Hendo's Rainbow shirt of course). Don't think he'll be as smug and arrogant when he's hardly getting game time this coming season.

It's true.

While Everton have support in the south end I'd say it's overwhelmingly Liverpool supporters there and always has been. The north end was Everton's stronghold, although due to their success and our failures in the last 3 decades that's now contested territory and there'll possibly be a lot more (passive) Liverpool supporters.

There's defo always been a north end / south end split in the two club's support.

Every cabbie is the city is a Red I've found, although most packed in actually going when Stevie Heighway finished lol lol lol tiptastic for them I reckon;)lollollol

I've never slagged Chelsea for spending money, or for where it came from. It would be a bit hypocritical wouldn't it really? Everton were one of the biggest spenders around for many many years - Mersey Millionaires?

Nah I think you might be getting mixed up.
The slagging of Chelsea (not meaning you in particularly) was much and often.

Dave I hate them but I see it myself with my own eyes and am from the north end of the city. Kids in Liverpool kits out number kids in everton kits. my nephews school is in aintree and there is hardly any blues in his school. his mates have been trying to pull him to the dark side it’s sad to see it used to be rather equal when I was a kid. Know there is just kopites everywhere and they are all weirdos got me little girl and nephew the new kit kopite neighbour the moment they got out the car wrong colour kits them.

They invented the term 'flaneur' follower of football a few years ago to describe someone who's detached from the reality of football support but buys a few bits of merchandise every few years to retain some loose identification with a club. It suits about 99% of Scouse Kopites down to the ground.
