Because of their influence on the various media channels it suits their agenda to constantly try to create a link between LFC and the City of Liverpool and try to be “the team of the city” even though their fan base is global.

I think it has become a deliberate communication strategy of theirs(club and fans) to try and undermine our move to BMD.
Our new stadium is going to generate lots of media interest and reflect well on the club as well cementing our place in the City.
That’s even before we get into the memories of Goodison Park that will be reinforced by the media during the 24-25 season.

Heads are going to fall off when the fact that Goodison Park is the only English club ground to host a World Cup semi-final is repeated countless times and had Pele and Eusebio plus Lev Yashin grace its turf in 1966.

That boxroom biff who ran into his mums room when he thought Henderson had bagged a winner against us released a video today saying "I'm not advocating any kind of abuse Darwin, as like you I put myself in the spotlight and take abuse but like me, you even just got to get on with. If you don't want to be abused, then all you needed to do was score the goals that win us the league and you wouldn't be getting the abuse would you".

He basically compared himself to Darwin Nunez as in putting himself in the spotlight, blamed Nunez for them not winning the league and said if your not the same kind of South American as Firminho then get out of his club
