Rest assured the RS slant on things will now be that they weren't really serious about the quadruple, that they only said this because they knew it would wind up and deflect everyone else from their main aim of winning the Prem as that has always been their number one target and desire because....'this means more!

No team - no matter how great Der Mighty Reds are - is capable of winning all four trophies and, particularly in their case, everyone including the relevant football authorities have been against them ie. UEFA for pitching them up against PSG in the Champions League, poor and/or unfair refereeing by not adding on more minutes when they were losing or adding on more minutes when they were winning, fixture congestion by having to occasionally play twice in a week, injuries (although not too sure to who but bound to have happened)...and so on.

This is only in the last few seasons as well. There’s a quarter of a billion pounds there even without Salah and with him that’s 6 players for 3 positions all of whom (except Chiesa) cost above 40 million pounds which is Everton’s record transfer fee.

They really are completely dense. Admit your mistake in signing a 90 million pound donkey and deal with the financial repercussions of that like everyone else.
