ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

And for the millionth time I'll don the tinfoil hat and repeat myself;

If this is City, Chelsea, Man U or Arsenal, the league would be dead and buried by now. Fair do's their fans would be disappointed, but they'd accept it and move on.

Not this lot, no. Their followers in the media and in the FA are holding out as long as possible, looking for a way to crown them.
They will cry about this for a generation. They will all start claiming it as a title win non-the-less. Every all-time trophy league table that exists will have a Liverpool amended one that they will wave around. They will never accept this and will push the narrative that the real victims of COVID19 are them. Liverpool Football Club.
The insufferable gobs***es.
United would be the absolute same mate, they’re just as bad.

Also, another thing that the tricky reds don't seem to understand, is that, even if they do find a solution to finish the season like behind closed doors or even if it's finished at a later date, it's already tainted.

Behind closed doors. How would that even work? How do the teams train and maintain safe distancing much less the match. 2 meters between each player in the wall or in the box for a corner?
Are you isolating the entire team and backroom staff from each club from their families for the duration and testing them before and after each match?
What if half the players refuse for safety fears? Lunacy

What about restarting the league at a later date?
June is the target date by the FA for a reason. So many contracts are up/loans ending etc. with no realistic safe way for clubs to sign replacement players.
It's no longer an even playing field.

No matter how it ends now, it's an asterisk against their 'achievement'.

They can't be crowned because they are not mathematically champions. And the league can't finish because this campaign is already done for.
The idea of games being played behind closed doors is just ridiculous, clubs lower down the league are never going to agree with it, there is zero point playing a derby behind closed doors. It would just mean the big clubs have a huge advantage over the other sides, because they don't have to play in a hostile atmosphere. We saw last year at GP how a great atmosphere can help a team in the derby, I really don't know why they just don't void it, I can understand if everything else was going forward, but it's not we're still in a mess. We're also seeing a rise in domestic incidents, I don't think that carrying on with the football season will help anybody's mood, I just wish they'd just grow up and decide to cancel it. The only team who really want to play are the RS, nobody else does, who wants to risk their safety for let's say a meaningless game such as Everton v Sheffield United. Their fans delusions are beyond a joke, any sensible person would just accept there are bigger things that football any just give it up, your asking people such as police officers, paramedics, security and other staff to risk their safety for their stupid arrogance.

If it is null and void, I expect Guardiola to make a decent attempt at challenging them next season. Or he'll be not just a fraud but an overrated bald fraud.

That is if there even is a next season.

I wish the pricks would bugger off.

This is the dream, they go and join their cartoon FIFA ultimate team fantasy league with Real Madrid and PSG where none of their local fans can get tickets or afford to travel to games, and the rest of football gets on with it, free from the festering septic stain that is Liverpool Football Club.

Unfortunately as the European Super League is never happening, neither is this.

I tend to agree

I almost welcome the Super League

The top six can bugger off and the rest of us can have football back

All the Champions League teams playing one another every week would soon get tiresome

I genuinely think it would fail eventually, with attendances and TV ratings dropping over time, whilst interest in the English League would be renewed amongst supporters as fresh teams would have a chance of winning things

If they think UEFA wouldn’t charge £100 per ticket for those games as well they’re living in a dream world.
