ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

That crossed my mind as well, but there would be little to tempt the other 19 clubs in that scenario surely, compared to voiding the whole thing. Only LFC would benefit and I doubt they, Sky/BT and the Premier League have that much clout if the rest decide enough is enough?
Well a few others would benefit like Sheff Utd and Leicester but if it drags a few months into next season then that one becomes tough to finish so I could see them maybe going for the pick up where we left off scenario, with euros in summer 21.
Think we need to hope football is up and running for August time.

I think we'll be looking at a new season start in August behind closed doors but with a repeal of the banning of screening 3pm Saturday games.

Bars to open to strict limited numbers.

Which is all nonsense when it comes to infection control but then most people were happy with the idea of being herded a couple of weeks ago so I wouldn't bet against it.

This will take upwards of 3 months to complete. Who is paying for these hotels? I mean, do these hotels exist, you know that can simultaneously keep any trace of the outbreak out, and also have training facilities as well. Do 92 of them exist, or do clubs outside of the PL not exist? (There's a clue, none of these hotels exist).

I am not even going to get started on the more perilous question of what you do with all the associated bodies that exist in conjunction with football but are essential to it's running.
Who's cleaning the bogs, showers and baths, some poor zero hours' worker.

Breaking News: the NHS Nightingale project was just a cover story and the unit is actually going to be used to stage the football. Ventilators are going to be used as ventilation for the venue and the game will be broadcast free on Netflix (for a small £600 annual fee). The FA will run the hashtag #cantstopthefootball.

This is literally how highly many members of the media and footballing community and I include some fans in that prioritise 22 men kicking a ball about a pitch. If I’m honest I personally haven’t even missed it that much.

Difference is that you have a functioning brain. Kopites don't when it comes to football, selective memories at best.
