ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Which probably accounts for how one minute they’re running over Atletico Madrid like they’re a kids team and the next minute Watford are completely dominating them with ease. Funny how Coutinho has gone from being one of the worlds best to unable to get a kick for Barcelona or Bayern also. If Liverpool had sold Milner 3 seasons ago he’d be retired by now, Henderson would probably be I’m the lower end of the prem or the championship. They’ve doped for ages, no way a side that poor on paper improves at the rate they have to do things that the best teams in history have got nowhere near. They almost won every game this season FFS despite not even having a proper striker upfront and two very average English midfielders in their team who were both shown up as not good enough on the international level as far back as 2012 and 2014.
I don't know about whether are or aren't involved in doping, I'd simply point out that if you want to be really fair to the deludes, that they beat a United side 10 years ago containing VDS, Evra, Vidic, Ferdinand, Scholes, Carrick, Anderson, Fletcher, Giggs, Ronaldo, Nani, Tevez, Rooney and Berbatov 4-1 away from home. Does any RS believe that anyone in their current midfield is better than players like Alonso, Gerrard or Macherano? I don't think any RS would claim that any of their front 3 are better than Suarez? Also that same United team weren't destroying teams in the way Liverpool are today. Even their great sides of the 1970's and 1980's didn't have the win record that they have. But their success simply doesn't make sense, if you look at Guardiola at City, he had a OK first season, then when he was able to get rid of the deadwood and bring in his own players they improved.

The thing with Liverpool is that with the exception of VVD, Klopp hasn't bought anyone who has drastically changed their form and even VVD didn't drastically change how good their defence when they first came in. So you have to ask how average players like Salah who was a bench warmer at Chelsea, wasn't that good at Roma suddenly was brilliant in his first season, then all of a sudden seemed to look pretty average. Mane and Firmino also we there when they were only just about qualifying for the champions league, so you do have to wonder how they've become world beaters overnight. But players like Henderson and Milner who you quite rightly say are players who weren't even that good in their prime have suddenly become great, Milner peaked at City from around 2009 to 2013, how he's still playing is anybody's guess. Henderson was widely regarded as being useless, yet he's considered one their most important players. Also the bizarre rise of players like TAA and Robertson would draw the suspicions of anyone who half a brain cell, 2 players who were completely unheard of miraculously become world class players overnight.
