ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Yes it is 500k. But you have to add all the surrounding area outside Liverpool
I know that the BBC map counts Sefton, Wirral etc separately in terms of cases and population.

An Echo article from two days ago puts the Merseyside death count at 482. That means that the figures are even more grim.

Merseyside includes Wirral and Southport so that's well over 1.3 million

And since the number you quote seems to include non Hospital numbers (unlike PHE) it's a fallacious argument on their part

246 Deaths in Liverpool
17,000 plus Nationally

Therefore Liverpool account for just over 1 per cent of national total.

With a population of 60m 1per cent plus is 600-800k

So the number of deaths in the Liverpool area should not be viewed as statistically outside the Standard Deviation or remotely attributed to the RS game.

But then there wouldn't be an angle.
You'd need to do the numbers without London in for a better angle on the provinces, London was the big driver in the figures for the early period of this, especially with the population density and the north lagged behind, that would give a truer reflection (that may or may not be different than the one you have done) on the rate in the mersey region

I'm not sure how this proves it was Arsenal mate?

Cross has good connections at Arsenal, but also at Liverpool, and the Mirror is very well connected in Liverpool/Manchester.

Arsenal do not turn over enough money for it to be them. If it's not Liverpool, it's most like to be United in my view.

However I wouldn't become too bogged down on the team. All of the top 6 are in serious trouble if this has any degree of truth to it. It shows sponsors are essentially withholding payments. That's the context of this story.

Look at it another way, if its Arsenal, what state must Liverpool and Spurs be in who actually went to furlough in March where Arsenal didint?

who'd have thunk that our crap level of non USM sponsorship was a bonus

It's one of those ironic moments really. I do think in situations like this though, people have to appreciate the idea that doing well conventionally can mean very little in a situation we are heading into.

There's a very reasonable theory that would say, you can outline who is most at risk in order of their expenditure and wage costs in a situation like this.

It was in the back of my head that it could be us, with having a 77% to wages ratio against our turnover and our terrible outlay the last few seasons and paying off managers.

Quite a relief mate!
Us? lol

We all know who you support, and it certainly isn't Everton. I could put it a bit stronger than that, but I don't want any penalty points added to my account.

How many points do you think I'd get for using the K word? 6 maybe? I mean who needs 6 points, eh?

Having 3000 people from Madrid that was already on its knees is one of the single most ridiculous things I've seen ever (Actually the bus driver driving all them from China in suits to the Wirral in just a shirt and tie is up there). They weren't even kept segregated in town.

Here's the Sky sports schedule for the next hour.

2-00pm= Interview with some ex RS player, about any old cack.
2-15pm= Update how covid 19 is effecting the season, shots of Mordor, and replays of RS goals.
2-30pm= Heartwarming story of how a football fan, in RS replica shirt, is helping out his neighbours ( in Swindon)
2-45pm= Jamie Carragher interviews an ex RS player, about any old cack.
3-00pm= Images of Klopp, Mordor, and more RS goals to 'remind us what we are all missing.
