I dont recall any of their usual suspects complaining before the game. Personally I was a bit surprised it was going ahead before they travelled over. Correct me if I am wrong,I'm sure at the time that game went ahead our training ground was shut as was the Offices at the Liver Buildings and Goodison and the derby set for our place the following Monday had already been called off,but they still went ahead with the European game?

Yeah I know people will have died anyway - but surely this match accelerated the introduction of a known disease into a country with a dithering economy-at-all-costs obsessed government.

They predictably tried to blame the government/FA/UEFA for not cancelling the game as if to say the club weren’t aware of the risks associated with letting the game go ahead.

Klopp swearing at his own fans telling them to “Put your hands away, you f****** idiots” in the video below showed he was acutely aware of the seriousness of the situation.

Once again they were the victims and it wasn’t their fault. If they’d pulled out of the game then they would have at least gained a little bit of that ‘respect’ that they so desperately crave despite their actions suggesting the opposite time and time again.
