ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I see the invisible mayor has just been on BBC news blaming the Spanish fans who whent to castle greyskull last month (again) for our current Covid 19 predicament.
I was waiting for him to come out with "The game should be null and void"...
I dont recall any of their usual suspects complaining before the game. Personally I was a bit surprised it was going ahead before they travelled over. Of course the RS were going to win werent they... another one o dem fantastic European nights. Till Athletico spoilt the party, of course. Silly me. Of course the match should be awarded retrospectively to the RS for being put at risk. Theyre the new L'Oréal product... "because we deserve it, La"

Correct me if I am wrong,I'm sure at the time that game went ahead our training ground was shut as was the Offices at the Liver Buildings and Goodison and the derby set for our place the following Monday had already been called off,but they still went ahead with the European game?

Hahahahahhahahahaha. They couldn’t help themselves, could they?

EVERYONE LOOK AT US! IT’S ALL ABOUT US!

Absolute disgrace really. The club that went ahead with a game that brought 3,000 opposition supporters from Madrid, milling around Liverpool for two days. Massively increasing the possibility of transmission of this virus, and now they thank the people faced with dealing with it. The owners and officers of that club are utter 'kin scum.

The rs responsible for more deaths shocker.

Yeah I know people will have died anyway - but surely this match accelerated the introduction of a known disease into a country with a dithering economy-at-all-costs obsessed government.
They predictably tried to blame the government/FA/UEFA for not cancelling the game as if to say the club weren’t aware of the risks associated with letting the game go ahead.

Klopp swearing at his own fans telling them to “Put your hands away, you f****** idiots” in the video below showed he was acutely aware of the seriousness of the situation.

Once again they were the victims and it wasn’t their fault. If they’d pulled out of the game then they would have at least gained a little bit of that ‘respect’ that they so desperately crave despite their actions suggesting the opposite time and time again.

it’s a lot easier to mow a slogan onto your grass for some cheap PR than to actually have any social conscience and do the hard yards for the community.

I’m sure at the time of the game Madrid was already on partial lockdown too. It was a hotbed for Covid either way
