ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Not doubting him as he obviously has contacts, plus the furloughing of staff raised eyebrows too - maybe they are in trouble.

But I just dont see how. They made a fortune from CL last year, never even spent in last summer - I know they have the 2nd highest wage bill but even so they still should be fine. Owners taking money out?

Not City or Spurs as they are owned by billionaires. Man U's revenue is huge and Chelsea wouldnt struggle either. Your momey would be on Arsenal and Keys obviously thought that too, even Gray looked suprised.
I believe I could understand how it would be them, but I would be under the impression that many other teams with similar revenues would be losing similar amounts.

Was going to post this in the Cancelling the EPL thread, but as it's been locked, all I can say is if and when that happens, it'll be met with a collective "meh" by the vast majority on here as it has dragged on far too long. It's become a farce, really, what with all the half-baked suggestions on how to "settle" the league, etc. My only hope is when that moment arrives, I will be able to hear the kopites caterwauling from this side of the Atlantic.

Mate carillon should have been nowhere near the royal.

They have done a very poor job , most of the current work is trying to reverse issues that are fatal if they had of opened . The whole job is probably 2-3 years left potentially for the new workers before it opens.

If anything , carillon were a blessing to build that stand , more so if it starts falling apart one night or they find out the thing has to be condemed.
don‘t know if it has happened yet but the intention was to open 5 wards in the new hospital for non Covid patients irrespective of the suspect beam.

Anyone explain the point of the latest pro rs post on sky?
Apparently Timo Werner is ready to join the RS...(no quotes or evidence to support it)
If they pay his 52 mill release clause before June, then states rs have no intention of bidding...
Just apply the - 'it has to be all about them' rule and you won't go far wrong.

rs, you always get exactly what it says on the tin.

Oh and the other 'sky and their darlings' idea.
European places will be decide not on current league placings, but on the previous various clubs past European Coefficient.
Short version; Leicester and Sheff U. need not apply

Crosses fingers and toes, Na don't do it to yourselves, if it were Liverpool and they were in huge financial troubles.
You know for a fact, the premier league would have already restarted, with all players playing in full Hazmat suits, masks with Canaries on each shoulder.
All sponsored by a Chinese maker of dodgy PPE.
What about that rumour that an Investment arm of the Chinese Govt. was going to take them off Fenways hands.

I see Mayor Meathead has given in to the victims moaning, and has ordered an inquiry into the Athletico Madrid game - what that will achieve is absolutley nothing, apart from wasting yet more of the Council Tax - no doubt it will just absolve Furlough FC of all blame, and simply blame The Government, Chelsea, the tea lady at Stockport County...

Not happening . In fact the trust reckon it's not as bad as they predicted now.

Although time is a better indicator on that front

Makes you wonder what impact their game with Madrid really had. My theory is that with it being a midweek game they were most likely mixing with several thousand RS daytrippers in town who then took it far and wide

That's the potential yeah , not just at the ground but drinking before.

It could well be a sound theory , even asymptomatic until it reaches someone who wasn't . Has to be some collation between mass amount of people from a newly infected country.

So there's a worldwide pandemic forming - you come back off holiday and are feeling unwell - what do you do ??

A- stay at home just in case like.

B- go to a football match and mingle with 50 000 people, then cry about your actions a month later.

Idiot.

“Poor decision to stage match” or poor decision to allow this brainless blurt to get fired out of his da’s sack.
