ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

View attachment 84422
So there's a worldwide pandemic forming - you come back off holiday and are feeling unwell - what do you do ??

A- stay at home just in case like.

B- go to a football match and mingle with 50 000 people, then cry about your actions like a big mary a month later.

Idiot.
But, it's not their fault as the government, WHO, MENSA, RSPCA etc. sould have been clearer with their advice and he should have been told not to go. Surely?

I see Mayor Meathead has given in to the victims moaning, and has ordered an inquiry into the Athletico Madrid game - what that will achieve is absolutley nothing, apart from wasting yet more of the Council Tax - no doubt it will just absolve Furlough FC of all blame, and simply blame The Government, Chelsea, the tea lady at Stockport County...
They were all in bed. Was someone else.

William reminds me of the sort of panic signing they made at the back end of H & G before they started massively reigning in the spending. It's the Joe Cole signing.

Hes a big name. They can delude that half witted fans that they're signing a Chelsea first steamer, not actually a lad who will struggle to be on the bench for them next season. Gerrard or someone can make some idiot statement that hes better than Messi like Joe Cole was. It's all for the theatre of their narcissistic, half witted, neurotic fan base.

It doesnt signal big spending. It signals budget options to try and con them into thinking they have money. They're thick, so aside from the few semi intelligent ones, it will work for a bit. They will lap it up. I suspect they'll use something like "better than Shaqiri" or something equally daft to justify it.

I'd totally forgotten Joe Cole does things Messi cant!

The cancelling the season thread is closed so I'd rather post it here I guess?

How you can possibly resume a sporting season months after it was suspended seems odd to me.

The 2019/2029 season is sadly associated with the current pandemic, I strongly believe starting a fresh new 2020/2021 season would be uplifting and give that optimistic look and feel to 19 out of the 20 clubs.

Why should everyone have to finish a lethargic and pointless last part of the season just so they can have a trophy?

Start the new season.

Yeah the season has ended in many people's minds now, that's how I feel anyway, to suddenly start up again for 9 games doesn't make sense, plus the high risk of injury to the players could damage next season if they were planning on going straight into a new season after completing this one

Most people won't be bothered about this season once we have a date to start the next season and people look forward to that, this will be remembered as the season that never was

Anyone explain the point of the latest pro rs post on sky?
Apparently Timo Werner is ready to join the RS...(no quotes or evidence to support it)
If they pay his 52 mill release clause before June, then states rs have no intention of bidding...

It's all about the bits in bold ' Look at this, Timo Werner (fantastic player) wants to join the RS' 'RS don't want him though because he's not good enough for them'

I hate to say it, but you only need to look how important the likes of Henderson, Millner and Wijnaldum have became for them; it's what he'd do to Willian.

Willian isn’t a central midfielder though, he wouldn’t get a game ahead of either Mane or Salah. He would be another Shaqiri playing 8 games a season.
