ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

The Christmas programme will be the key for them. They'll be away in Qatar for a week snarled up with two matches just before the Christmas period starts (17th to 21st December plus travelling time).

Let's see how they sort that lot out. I make it 6 games in two weeks.
Sky will do their best to help with rescheduling the fixtures as best they can

They defo will throughout the season, as they and the PL did last season. Games are games though. With the Super Cup and these WCC games that'll be three extra in thir legs...and I expect Liverpool to be under more pressure from their own fans to be competitive in the domestic cups this season too.

Come May next year they'll have a lot of games in their legs...and I dont fancy the strength of that squad as they failed to invest this summer.

Of
Liverpool and Chelsea face huge fines over betting deal

You just know they won’t though...

Course they won't, lawyers will argue (probably successfully) they took the deal at the time, before the ban, in good faith.

Makes you wonder how they last as long as they do.

They’re genuinely a good side, it just grates how often they get the rub, or they get decisions. I still think City are better.
Tough to score against and get goals. A team like that will do well anywhere. They are VERY fortunate to find themsleves in a two horse race for two years running though. They'd be struggling to get near City if there was a functioning United, Arsenal and Chelsea to take points off them and add to the competition.

As soon as those teams sort themselves out Liverpool will be back where they belong: struggling for CL qualification places.

But at the moment they are 2nd best team in the league with quality players. They have a top class spine with good players around the quality players.

Just seen MOTD. Complete fluke for the rs first goal, no defenders within a mile of Mane (their most dangerous attacker fgs!!) for the second, and the same for Firmino for the third. How do teams expect to get anything at Anfield playing like that?

Its amazing: At the end of last season Burnley put in a super human effort to try and stop City winning the league at Turf Moor - to a man (and manager).
They played like it was a world cup final and were totally devastated when we beat them. Liverpool turn up and it's truly a walk in the park for them.
Burnley have not played any where near like they did against City before or after. Why?

Maybe more appropriate to ask on Blue Moon kid, especially when we're playing.
