ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

If I was opening a book on Suarez's future I'd wager he'll move on perhaps next January for around £25-27M. Obviously The Sh!te value him at nearer £40M (since he's clearly better than Carroll who "will come good" etc) but the reality is Carroll ain't worth £35M & Suarez is damaged goods - meaning they can't hawk him about for the value they think he's worth. No doubt a big club in Italy or Spain will be interested but if it's not Real/Barca or one of the Milans the price definitely goes down. I'd be surprised if he's still here at the start of 2013-2014 season. Any time in the next 3 transfer windows but probably not this summer.

Waffen SS Liverpoolische Fussball Bund branded as 'hypocrites' today by Kick It Out chairman:

'Liverpool FC need to take a hard look at themselves and how they have responded to the complaint and the investigations into the allegations of abuse in the Patrice Evra/Luis Suarez case.'Throughout the entirety of the proceedings, over the past three months, all we have heard are denials and denigration of Evra. Since the publication of the 115-page report of the findings of the FA's independent commission, Liverpool's vitriol has increased.

Suarez's attempt at a belated apology is nothing short of lamentable...Liverpool have been particularly hypocritical. You can't on the one hand wear a Kick It Out T-shirt in a week of campaigning against racism when this is also happening on the pitch: it's the height of hypocrisy. Liverpool players wore a T-shirt saying: 'We support Luis Suarez', seemingly whatever the outcome. This was a dreadful knee-jerk reaction because it stirs things up.'

*shakes head*

Peter Reid just on Radio Merseyside condemning Dalglish for his and his player's behaviour with the non-apology and wearing of t-shirts.

Well in, Reidy.

I love the apology - "i'm sorry you're all stupid enough to be offended. I deeply regret you're all idiots."

Seriously do Liverpool actually have any sort of PR team? Or, failing that, one person in a senior position with a modicum of common sense?

It's the anti-apology. A specialty of libpoolfc:

'Dem Yanks are tearing the club built by Shanks's apart, if the sending of bullets in the post and phoned death threats caused shock and offence then that's not what we intended...we're just being passionate about our club'.

When will Liverpool fans get it into their thick skulls that Evra has NO history of playing the race card?

Also there is a world of difference between Evra sounding like Ice-T on a bad day and hurling abuse to an opponent.

You don't have to be stupid to support Liverpool but it sure helps!

Has anyone actually got a clue what the bumbling mentalist was actually referring to when he mentioned the "things that have been left out of the report"?

Bemusing.

I'm not sure he'll last the season.

Aliens.

He's about another controversy away from his second stay at Ashworth.

Let's hope stays there for a long time, because they ain't going anywhere while he remains. And the great thing is that they won't turn on him.

Lord Ousley, Chairman of Kick it Out has just ratchetted up the stakes, calling for an increased ban for Suarez.

You wont be surprised to learn that he's currently public enemy #1 over at RAWK Castle.

They've even uncovered a conspiracy (another one): Ousley lends his name to a United Charity foundation for disadvantaged kids across the north west of England.

He's clearly "in on it" with dee FA. der meeja, and dee aliens.
