They really are the most detested club in the land, it's marvellous really.

They have one of the biggest fan bases in the world, that's why they're on TV, and that's not going to change. They're on ESPN all the time as it's a hangover from Setanta from Ireland where they cosy up to the fanbase there.

But that's not the point. Nearly every other fan in England and largely beyond find them contemptible. I have yet to come across a single, right-minded person who would say "my second team is Liverpool" or whatever.

The justification and desperation is absolutely shocking. The ones I've seen sounding like right idiots on the matter is Hansen, Redknapp and Murphy. Can't see any connection with them at all....

The 69% who voted it was a dive result on MOTD was beautiful. All the money they pay those idiots for knowing less than the general public.
