my own dad used to call Liverpool "niggerpool" until he rightly changed his views
Your right that this isnt the place for this discussion though - i dont want people arguing over history that everton fc have rightly put behind them

Great to hear the views of a fellow Evertonian, even if slightly controversial. Hope the mods can make sure that such fine views continue to be expressed here.

Sadly roydo it's not even 'back then', I work In social housing and the stuff I hear on a daily basis makes my skin crawl, it's a problem that will not go away.

Football wise I mean. Modern, English footie has no real problems with racism now, imo, despite what Paul Ince and Clarke Carlisle might say.

Apologies, I misread your post. I agree in the main English football has progressed further than just about anyone in Europe over my lifetime. Sadly the same can't be said about society.

I remember the Everton are white chant, because at the time most clubs had at least one black player.

What time is that mate? I remember 81 maybe 82 and us playing at home to West Brom and the lad Cunningham was playing for them. The fact I remember that when I was 6 years old shows how few non whites I seen growing up on the Wirral! Crazy to think how few black players there were them days.

You "out the closet" now mate ? Good to have opposition fans we can debate with on here, and if there was any other Liverpool fans on here posting as Blues, I'd hope they feel encouraged to declare that...it's not the shame they seem to think it is after all.

It is a big problem on here at the moment. I think we all know who they are. I dont know what can be done to get rid of them but they've defo now reached a point where they are affecting the debate on GOT.

The biggest problem is that you two jokers seem to think you have the first clue in identifying them on our boards.

The honest ones reveal themselves from the off. The WUM's eventually reveal it through their posts (and get repped as such).

Trust the system, stem your red-under-the-bed addiction.

Can we get back on topic of abusing our neighbours :D

They're a one-man team and they've been bluddy lucky this season. Shirley this won't last.

I predict we win at Anfield, they lose form and spend the rest of the season battling it out with Man U for 6th place.

That would be giggles.

honestly, you're all as bad as each other. anyone who labels an entire fanbase as racist because of the actions of a minority is an absolute cretin... no two ways about it, not even up for discussion.

them being racist has nothing to do with the team support and everything to do with them being poorly educated.

It would be dead good if that did happen. I would laugh dead hard

Great post mate, you clearly seem to be trying to make some valid points. There's not as much stigma as they think about being a Liverpool fan though, so hopefully if there's any more on here they'll ignore their shame/embarrassment and start posting as such. (y)

There's no stigma. The poster known as "RED" has even a green rep here. And the Bill Shankly thread we have here was full of eulogies from blues for the man. Dmorgan2 effectively conceded we've had more world-class players over the last 25 years than his side (tho' his red goggles do prevent him seeing sense in the Collymore comments).

I like a good WUM if they're entertaining. Adds to the charm of the forum. But there's been some in poor taste recently, and the discussion then descends into horrible moral point-scoring. This is probably why you and davek have overtuned your antennas, which isn't the best defence as it can cause blue infighting.

As the big brother in this relationship, we're better off just patronising them :P
