Sorry lads but its 100% true. Call them out for Suarez/Evra, thier fans who have been done for racial abuse, the collymore tweets, anything. But dont then pretent nothing has happened our end.
And i was at West Brom last night, ive missed 1 game home or away in ten years. If you go the away games you would recognise me. Find me at any game to discuss it further.
dont think we are saying its never happened our end - we are saying it doesnt any more, we wouldnt tolerate it if it did and certainly wouldn't wear commemorative t-shirts.
The tweets Collymore recieved were from vermin and deserve to be retweeted and followed on further & for the reds***e on here to suggest he deserves it because he is trying to 'goad' them is preposterous.
oh and Liverpool fans threw bananas and chanted at Barnes as well as I recall.

Liverpool fans threw bananas at John Barnes, but their fans revise their history and it never happened of course.

If my memory serves me right, in Fever Pitch, Nick Hornby tells how Barnes made his debut at Arsenal, and the away supporters threw bananas that day. described it as "an odd scouse welcome", or something like that.
Anyway, we have all moved on. Remember the chants at Bristol City in the 70s and 80s, and watching us away at Villa.
Was a different era, thank god.
No way !!! Surely not, that can't be rightDalglish used to indicate Barnes in their formations with a brown counter too, if I recall correctly. No wonder he stood up for Suarez FFS.
In Jamaica it means ' Welcome '.......Liverpool fans threw bananas at John Barnes, but their fans revise their history and it never happened of course.

Exactly that mate - I remember us being known as a racist club as we'd never had a black player, probably down to a lack of good black players at the time rather than racism throughout the internals of the club but that was the tag that was bandied about.
Also could we all pipe down on the calling each other kopites? The ones in this thread are easily distinguished and good match-going (or non match-going) blues shouldn't be tarred with that brush.
