Nope.

They applied for a trademark with Europe, rather than the UK IP office in an attempt to pacify the council, but their trademark still applies to the 'Liver Bird'. It does not apply to 'The Liver Bird as used on Liverpool FC's merchandise'.

It applies to a specific version of the liver bird; read up on your intellectual property law. The reason I know about this is I've just been involved in an 18 month project that involved the liver bird. So you can read all the links you want; what you originally stated is untrue

Are that lot over on RAWK only able to post stupid laughing smilies? It's weird that the red shyte are so popular in Ireland.I mean like they were founded by a greedy Orange Man.Everton have always been historically the team that the Irish community in Liverpool supported and that bond between Ireland and Everton was strengthened in the 50's when guy's like Peter Farrell, Tommy Eglinton, Corks very own Don Donovan, and Mick Megan played for us.Yet the Liverpool club shop at Anfield is plagued 7 days a week by ferry loads of Irish people getting fleeced to have their names printed on Anfield FC drinking mug for 8 pounds.

Horrible situation we are in. Liverpool win after we do and it's good for us leave wise. United win and let it's harder for us but the kopites dream gets closer to being prematurely ended.

It may be bitter but that's hardly new from us eh? The problem is for every decent red that you can talk footie with there's 10 of them that will be complete duck heads about their success

Success they haven't won the league title in 20 years?Massive clubs win league titles every few years which the red shyte clearly aren't.Nottingham Forest once won 2 european cups in a row and they are irrelevant now.Anfield FC throwed millions and millions of pounds at landing the title over the past 24 years and they will come up short again this year.

Winning the league is success and as much as I don't want that to happen come 6 of clock tomorrow it could well be the groundwork for them to do that. Point is I'm not going to write them off and winning the league is the prized pig as for as them lot are concerned.

look at it this way. Since we last won a trophy they have won every single trophy worth winning besides one. Until their season goes tits up we have to face up to the prospect of it happening. Well that and win the bloody thing ourselves before they do if we get the chance.

Not really. United take two more points off Liverpool but we have the game in hand and United to come to Goodison. Our fate is in our hands, we dont need a favour off Liverpool.

The only thing a United win will do is give some 'Evertonians' a wee smile for a week, while also potentially galvanising United for a push for their remaining fixtures as they overtake us in the league. With a win for us at Goodison by no means a guarantee.

And we do, we need favours off a lot of teams for the remaining fixtures.

Draw please.

Reclaim The Kop Campaign
Reclaim The Kop (RTK) was officially launched on new year’s day 2007 to improve awareness and educate fans to the ‘Liverpool Way’ of supporting their team. The RTK hope to educate supporters on certain issues relating to chants, songs, matchday, the city, the Hillsborough disaster, the boycott of the Sun newspaper, showing respect for the opposition, supporting the team at all costs.

Watch ‘The Kop Charter’:

The first major step RTK took was to highlight the boycott of the Sun newspaper and had the first ‘Truth Day’ in the FA Cup tie with Arsenal on January 6th. The amazing protest against former Sun editor Kelvin Mackenzie [Read Article] went down in history and gained massive support from around the country.

The RTK’s Kop Charter [Read it here] is rather long in our opinion so we’ve made it simple for you here;

  • DO sing unique Liverpool songs
  • DONT follow others with ‘Soccer AM’ style ‘easy, easy’ chanting
  • DO applaud the opposition’s goalkeeper, its respectful and The Kop’s way
  • DONT focus on the opposition with lame chants of ‘Youre not singing anymore’ – give a [Poor language removed] about them?
  • DO bring flags banners and scarves to the match
  • DONT bring some generic St. George Cross crap that any club in England has
  • DO honour, respect and remember the Hillsborough disaster and those who died on April 15th 1989
  • DO NOT purchase the Sun newspaper
  • DO support the city of Liverpool and it’s people
  • DONT mock the city, the people or stereotypes of Liverpool
  • DO sing Youll Never Walk Alone – loud and proud
The full RTK website with the full Kop Charter, campaign updates, flyers and more can be found here and the official website will be putting songs and chants to learn on throughout the first ten weeks of 2007.

The RTK is supported by the club officially and they paid for the mosaic vs Arsenal. Chief executive Rick Parry is actively working with RTK to improve the atmosphere at Anfield and moving towards the new stadium.
