Sterling cost them about 3m from qpr when he was 15

Yes it's very surprising however it probably highlights how poor the premier league is in terms of quality. They have been a lot more hungry than Chelsea and city unfortunately

With that level of spending, they really should be looking at relegation. So they have performed miracles there.

Might send them a postal order or something, just to help them out.
 
im just saying im not disagreeing with the fact they can't claim the shoestring budget, but theyve massively overachieved given the squad of players that they do have. theyve obviously been helped along by suarez carrying them and a lot of referee decisions

but that squad should really be nowhere near the top, no matter what they splashed out on it.
 

Sterling comes from QPR and cost the [Poor language removed] a fee of 600k rising to £6 mil depending on clauses he would of most certainly activated them and was rumoured to be given a 35k a week contract last year before he hit the heights of this season definitely not a free player

Yeah but if a player doesn't fit, they just spend 10-15mil on another try.. Certainly makes things easier.
They havn't over achieved, they've simply, finally, not under-achieved.

they as a club havnt overachieved (quite the opposite as u say) but that squad of players defo has, or is probably about to
