Oh please. Gerrard by a mile

It's weird, because Liverpool went on that winning run when Gerrard was moved to DM, but I think he's terrible defensively lol. Liverpool seemed to concede more when he started playing there, but at the same time started scoring more, with Suarez and Sturridge prospering from his hollywood passes.

That's their whole game though. Quarterback style passes to their world class strikers, bypassing the weak midfield and hoping that sides lie down under the weight of the attacks early on.

If they score early, they demoralise and often go on to score a bagload. If sides keep it tight, Liverpool tire and their mediocre midfield and defence gift goals to the opposition.

They would have been the worst collective team to win the title pretty much ever for that very reason, very much on a par with Blackburn with Shearer and Sutton but in a different era. A very literal three man squad, with Coutinho and Sterling being decent now and then to aid them.

Pretty much this to be absolutely fair...... Spot on this !!

His reputation from what was yesterday is the reason reds see him in this fashion.

Wonderful role model though lol

Gerrard is a hindrance he cant defend so isn't really a number 4 but his legs are gone so can't play further forward. His penalties have made his goals stats look good and the amount of goals from set pieces have flattered the assists column.
