@nolokk is that you?

Better than a draw...
City lose tonight, Liverpool are 2-0 up... concede 3 in the last 10 minutes again, and they have to wait on City's result.. but it doesn't matter.. City's game is finished and they have lost, Liverpool have 1 more point than them..
The whistle goes and the crowd go mental...
Queue mass hysteria all around Liverpool, the bus fires up, everyone runs out their house celebrating within seconds of the game ending...

Then like so many fans around the country, they suddenly remember Chelsea are still in the fight..
Chelsea who after a lengthy injury and with a minute left are still 0-0.. Suddenly it happens.... Goal!!!!!! Chelsea win the league with a last kick of the season.. 1-0, a Title winning goal by one Fernando Torres.

That would be my preference :)

Haha - yes please!!!!!!

That's their whole game though. Quarterback style passes to their world class strikers, bypassing the weak midfield and hoping that sides lie down under the weight of the attacks early on.

If they score early, they demoralise and often go on to score a bagload. If sides keep it tight, Liverpool tire and their mediocre midfield and defence gift goals to the opposition.

They would have been the worst collective team to win the title pretty much ever for that very reason, very much on a par with Blackburn with Shearer and Sutton but in a different era. A very literal three man squad, with Coutinho and Sterling being decent now and then to aid them.

C'mon. They found a way to play that see's them banging 4,5,6 past good sides. You play to your strengths and they've found theirs. Credit to them for that!

I'm buzzing they look to have fallen short. But a little bit more experience and they'd have won this league comfortable.

I'm not criticising it - I called them world class strikers didn't I! They're playing the only way they can do to be successful; but this nonsense about Liverpool playing a passing game which is still perpetuated by the media is just that - a nonsense. They're playing a form of route one direct football, but to feet into the channels instead of to a target mans head to play off.

I'm just saying it's not a world class team here - it just isn't.

They have a captain who has been at the club for his entire playing career and a team full of international players, playing for top international sides. What more experience do you need ?

For me it comes down to the manager and his one dimensional playing style. That style will only go so far before you start to fun on fumes and start sputtering.
