ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

They have a captain who has been at the club for his entire playing career and a team full of international players, playing for top international sides. What more experience do you need ?

For me it comes down to the manager and his one dimensional playing style. That style will only go so far before you start to fun on fumes and start sputtering.

Experience of being in the position they're in and knowing when not to continue to be gung ho at 3-0 up. How many of their players have been in a scrap for the title or major international honours? Someone like Xabi Alonso would have been ideal for the game at Palace, foot on the ball and knock it about and kill time, that's the sort of experience they lack, and I'm quite grateful they do.

They've also got more than a few young players playing and an inexperienced manager, who's inexperience cost them, in there.

Chelsea went for the draw. the RS could have give them that and kept their noses in front. Stupid that. Then Monday all they had to do was shut shop and put pressure on a nervy Man City.

Lucas and Coutinho have been left out of the Brazil world cup squad

Expect a fatwa to be issued against scolari

Rodgers told the world that Scolari asked him to keep an eye on the Brazilians. I don't think it is on that Rodgers didn't recommend Coutinho and Lucas.

I've started a campaign to 'Reinstate the Liverpool 2' into the Brazilian World Cup squad. I'm devastated for the lads.

I'm not criticising it - I called them world class strikers didn't I! They're playing the only way they can do to be successful; but this nonsense about Liverpool playing a passing game which is still perpetuated by the media is just that - a nonsense. They're playing a form of route one direct football, but to feet into the channels instead of to a target mans head to play off.

I'm just saying it's not a world class team here - it just isn't.
Totally agree

Punting the ball 40 yards, bypassing the midfield and into dead space zone for players to run onto is apparently not route one, wimbledon esque. However which way you look at it, once you break it down and tweak it a little, its 90's Wimbledon mark II. Chelsea played them the perfect way at analfield and has now provided the blueprint on how to defend the new Wimbledon.

I see what you're trying to say but i disagree slightly

Inexperience will be the word that people will clutch at when all is said and done. Its his lack of tactical awareness (as proven in the palace game) and footballing I.Q that has cost them.

Whilst brilliant and entertaining for us blues, ^^^ has dearly cost them.

Defo Manager of the year though, oh yeah

Belated Happy Birthday mate

Blow that one out!

coutinho is utter turd, this proves my point.

think oscar had a very very good start to this season, think it's been ruined by injury rather than poor performance tbh, haven't seen him for a while. i wasn't a fan before this season, he's certainly not as good as mata, head and shoulders above coutinho though.

I'm bored...

You know the tune......

11 red bottlers playing at the park,
11 red bottlers playing at the park,
and if 3 red bottlers should accidentally score,
there'll be 11 red bottlers laughing at the park,
11 red bottlers laughing at the park,
and if Crystal Palace should accidentally score,
there'll be 11 red bottlers fuming at the park,
11 red bottlers fuming at the park,
And if Crystal Place should accidentally draw,
there'll be 11 red bottlers, and Luis Suarez, and Steven Gerrard, and Brendan Rogers.... , crying at the park......

Since taking over Palace, Pulis has a 46% win ratio with a team that cost practically nothing to put together and had managed 2 wins in their previous 12 games. He's taken 40 points from 27 games, extrapolated over the whole season Palace would be sitting on 56 points, 8th in the league.

Rodgers has spent £100m (£60m net) on players in two seasons, and inherited a squad with one of the best strikers in the league in Luis Suarez. He will likely end up finishing 2nd.

I fail to see how Rodgers' achievement is so much better than Pulis'. In fact if you put Luis Suarez in Palace's side for the entire season under Pulis they'd probably be close to the top four themselves with that kind of form.

You're going to need to troll harder than that. Pulis Hahahahahaha!!

You're embarrassing yourself there, mate.

From the Beeb website:

"No side bottom of the Premier League at the end of November has previously risen higher than 17th by the end of the season. Palace made sure of their survival with three games left when a club record-equalling fifth straight top-flight win, against West Ham, took them up to 11th.

It is all a far cry from five months ago, when four points from their opening 11 games - leaving them six points from safety - appeared to ensure this campaign would go the same way as the Eagles' four previous Premier League seasons and end in immediate relegation.."

Plenty of people think Pullis deserves it.
