Her and the kids pissed off on holiday apparently. even that shows you the mentality of your club captain. A chance to win the pot, final game of the season and your wife and kids do one the day before to go on holiday.

Funnily enough I didn't see brenda with his wife either

ha, she knew they wouldn't do it and decided to flee before he got his boys to put a hit on her because she asked "how did it go steve?". she'll be snapped with diego costa in tuesday's daily mirror.

rodgers was probably with his wife to file the divorce papers.

The next move we now need is for Suarez to leave, he must have a clause in his contract now and its 3 seasons without any medals now for him, hmm lets hope Madrid wants him.

I will love reading Hansen's column in the Telegraph tomorrow. Hope he is on MOTD and Lineker asks him about when he said 'when Gerrard lifts the trophy'. Mind, 'you can't win anything with skids'.

haha, it was all set up - Hansen's last MOTD episode and liverpool win the league so he could leave with a big smug smile on his face lol

Hopefully, if Liverpool do keep it up next year, City will keep their squad together, replace Demichelis and add an ace left back and have a period of dominance that sees out Gerrard's career and Suarez' time at Liverpool.

This was almost definitely their year. They may have half a shot next year, if they keep Suarez, but with City and Chelsea and United stronger, I think it's unlikely.

if gerrard ends his career in the WC i would be chuffed. would rather he never plays football again than them getting an overpaid fee and him getting his dream big move.

he was smiling today at the anticipation that his nightmare can finally be ended, thought he would have looked a bit more glum.

The season wasn't completely trophy free, though. Lest we forget, they did win the World Series.

I hate how that creepy troll John Henry owns my hometown baseball team too

Yep, Jose will now know what signings to make, they will sign a world class striker, City will be a force and have an intelligent manager, Man u wont have Moyes anymore and already mean business by bidding 28 million for Shaw tonight, Arsenal was unlucky with injuries this season. This season was their best chance and he slipped.

Utd,City,Arsenal and Chelsea will all finish above them next season

Really think Suarez will bolt in the summer and they will drop like a stone without his 40 goal contribution

Suarez knows this was the only year he could win the PL with Liverpool.

Realistically he's off to Madrid, because Liverpool wont sell him to a domestic competitor like Chelsea/City. Maybe PSG could cobble together the fee.

haha next year is our year! every single year they say it.
Its the only thing they've got to cling onto. They've been sucker punched and its crushed them.

Of course they will add a few additions in the summer but bellend is hardly a draw for big names and he certainly cannot be trusted in the transfer market. He has an awful record. No matter what happens in the summer, by this time next year, they'll be lucky to finish in the top 4. You have to factor in the demands of CL and european footy. Without those demands this season, it gave them a huge advantage.

....... you would have to think Utd will take the same advantage next season. They will strengthen too. All in all liverpool won't be anywhere near this title next year or for a few years.

united haven't exactly looked good since moyes went and the backbone of their defence will be gone. think they still have a fair bit of rebuilding to do, but they do have a few quality players there who will probably actually want to play for their new boss.

liverpool will struggle imo.

He's 28 in Jan

He must know he's got about 4 years max at the top given a lot of his play is pace, He will want to win the CL not just play in it

There's defo a release clause in that contact for Madrid/Barca bid

They keep telling me there going to be signing "World class players"

Name me the last world class player they signed, Suarez does not count as he was not classed as a top talent when he arrived
