If it's anyones fault for them losing the title, it's "Stevies" first.

Then Henderson.

Gerrard and Lucas and Allen look like grandads in the middle of the pitch without Henderson doing the leg work.

Tbh tho after they won at Norwich I was like the leagues there's trying to admit it in my head and I went to our game and then went to were I drink afterwards and they were all still there chanting " we've spent no money and won there league"
And I was like wtf, but now I hope I see them again in the pub so I can say weres your title? Sky season ticket holders to.

i think their biggest problem next season is that people have worked out how to play their only way of playing. All the crud teams will sit tight and defend deep and aim for a point, maybe score on the break/set piece, the decent teams will sit deep and break. They have no other plan. Throw in a few injuries, suspensions and lots more games, they'll be battling for Europa spots next season.

Newcastle had them sorted out yesterday. It took two sendings off for them to get past that rubbish.

Even the hard of learning PL managers will be ready for them next season. They'll need a better plan B than replacing Coutinho with Moses, that's for sure.

Brendan will sort it. He'll be back to tika taka next season...his forgotten "principles".

Fraud.

You're right.

Next season the expectation level will be to challenge for the title, not merely to get a CL spot. Only next season all the planets won't be aligned in the same way that almost gained them their Holy Grail this season.

When the next kopite tells you that "I'm not disappointed, we'd have taken 2nd in August" just reply with - this was the best chance you've had in a generation and it might be another one before you get that close again..................
I think pretty soon they're going to realise that this was a freak season when the established order in the game was in disarray and there was a fleeting opportunity for a club as well funded as Liverpool with a fair wind behind it regarding scheduling to do something big.

That door is now slammed firmly shut. I don't expect them anywhere near the business end of the title challenges for years to come.

The smarter ones know, I reckon.

LOL, Oh you!

Don't you think they looked like they were playing out of their skin every game? i.e. to the extent of bursting a lung with their efforts. Compared to City and Chelsea who beat teams just by being a better team with better players.
Reminded me of whenever they've played us or Utd over the last few years, proper upping their game.

Players like Henderson (& McCarthy to a much better effect for us) have that athleticism naturally, but the other 10 don't. It isn't sustainable. I'm amazed they haven't had more injuries and that's why I'm sure they won't be top 4 next season, especially with European football.
