Looking forward to the RAWK thread

"Those bitters over on GOT are happy that Luis has hurt his knee. Mongrels!"

I am not happy at all mate, I'm gutted that he has actually after the injury still got a knee at all, would love it to have exploded in the same dramatic way he does when a player brushes against him

I confess to never having heard of a 'meniscus' until 10 minutes ago. I suppose the Slabbers will be experts on it by now.

Maybe when they are operating on him they can insert a conscience...

I'd rather they inserted a flesh eating bacteria into the knee when their operating mate, in 30 years time he can go on to own a relatively small north west championship side and tell everyone about the season he nearly won the league before his leg dropped off ala whelan

Its the shock absorbers in the knee. Fairly significant for a football player as you can imagine. Particularly someone like him who spends so much time landing on his knees when he is spectacularly upended by a blade of grass in the penalty area.

I think any manager who loses 2-0 and then comes out with this sort of guff is a TOTAL beaut:

“It is great for the public here at Sunderland to see us,” said manager Brendan Rodgers. “They must have been wondering what this team everyone is talking about are all about and now they have seen. We were wonderful."

Him and Libberpul Futball Cult are a match made in heaven though, they can blow smoke up each others' arses till the cows come home (to roost)!

I'd forgotten that particular pearl, what a ringpiece.

The only annoying thing is that it hasn't happened during the league season. Hopefully it's really serious and he'll be out for a year or so. I'm doubly hopeful that it's one of those injuries that never goes away and keeps flaring up again.

Shame he won't be able to showcase his first-rate shot-stopping skills at the World Cup like he did last time.

Here's a little reminder of what RAWK made of his save in the Ghana game (recognise any of your posts in here, lads? *waves at lurkers*):

A taster:

"Amazing scenes. Very sorry for Ghana and although Suarez did what many people would have done, he has been a diving, cheating [Poor language removed] throughout the tournament and I hope that nothing but misery comes of the rest of his footballing career."

"The 'Hand of God' now belongs to me. Mine is the real 'Hand Of God'. I made the best save of the tournament. Sometimes in training I play as a goalkeeper so it was worth it. There was no alternative but for me to do that."

oh do feck off you [Poor language removed]. you don't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Maradona. you're a fecking nobody who'll be forgotten in a couple of weeks when you disappear back into the obscurity of the dutch league."

will be very pleased if he misses it.

but this is the RS we're talking about someone will offer £50m for him, just like torres when they'd run him into the ground.

recurrance of an injury means they've run him into the ground again? possibly.
