If Gerrard isn't good enough now, he wont be for the Euros. The CL/Premier fixtures will take their toll even further with him next season. I expect him to use the old 'cliché-after-a-cup-knockout' and say hes "going to concentrate on The League" with the RS.

You see, I just don't get this. He was a headless chicken, playing for himself and by himself. Constantly running up blind alleys does not make a good half. He flattered to deceive and was actually [Poor language removed] IMO.

exactly, it wasn't a performance which would have got RM interested, hence my post. maybe if he starts having another great 3/4 seasons improving rapidly, but RS media always have their players hyped up to extreme levels. they kept saying RM would be interested in suarez for the last 2 seasons, when only arsenal were. they may finally be interested now, but as far as i understand i still haven't see them say they're interested at all.

I love this now: the Kopites miss out on the title and suffer early summer torment...they think they're over the worst but then have to start sweating like a glass blower's arse for the remainder of the summer to find out if Barcelona or Madrid will let them keep the sewer rat or not.

Ha Ha. Yeah. "We thank Luis for his services. It will be remembered though that Liverpool FC moved with speed earlier in the transfer window to secure another top international striker in the shape of Rickie Lambert. Our supporters should rest assured that when talent becomes available we will move to secure it in an effort to return the club to the pinnacle of the English and European game".
