SAS to Real Madrid? Liverpool's Raheem Sterling could join Luis Suarez in Spain
FORMER Chelsea boss and Manchester United candidate Carlo Ancelotti is looking at the possibility of bringing Liverpool and England winger Raheem Sterling to Real Madrid as a replacement for Arsenal target Angel Di Maria, as he also seeks to beat Barcelona to Uruguay star Luis Suarez.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

God.

He's a weird combination Gerrard, he's obviously got a massive ego, but hugely fragile as well. Regardless of the age of his legs and his limited ability (which were big factors) I think the baggage he carried into this tournament from the Liverpool collapse was huge, now with this debacle piled on he could have a horrific season next year. Remember after 98 when Beckham was vilified, I always thought he showed character to see that through, got his head down and worked to get the fans back on side. Just don't think slippy has that kind of fortitude or charm. He'll be shielded by LFC to an extent but if the opposition smell blood I reckon his head'll go week in week out.
I was already salivating at the thought of the Gerrard song being sung throughout the land. :p

Steve Gerrard, Gerrard
He slipped in his f*cking arse
He passed it to Demba Ba
Steve Gerrard, Gerrard

His ego has always been his downfall. If he had any sense he'd feck off now. As it is I expect him to be in the LFC and England squads until their respective managers tell him a few home truths and bin him off.

Gerrard will retire 100% at the end of the World Cup.

No doubt at all in my mind.
No chance.

He will not go out like this. He's been an embarrassment as a player and more so a captain. Not only will he look to try and steady the ship and somehow make amends but he is somebody who will revel in the fact he is the most played outfield player in English history. He wants that record mate.

No doubt in my mind. The self centered box headed tit

@tancredipalmeri: Suarez has confessed to close friends that he wants to leave Liverpool according to opening headline of tomorrow catalan paper Sport

Pearl drops is almost waist deep in the brown stuff concerning Goofy and that other clown who single handed wrecked his* Beloved Club And Country * of much needed standing throughout Norway..

In short,,,, Brenda,,,, IS GONNA BE FOUND OUT BIG STYLE*

I've heard countless comments defending Gerrard by saying he was overrun due to the tactics of Hodgson. Fair enough, I can understand the system of his club being overhauled to cover for his age but the National team should not be expected to cover for his deficiencies. If the way we play needs to be changed to include a 34 year old play when there are plenty of other options then that's a disgrace. If he's not good enough to play for England except when the whole team is shifted to accommodate him then he should give it up.

I back him on the Redknapp comments though.

Why doesn't Slipper just keep his mouth shut?

He knows as well as anyone that players pull out of international duty and often ask their manager to help them.

I am sure his old mate Carragher confided in him when he was doing exactly that.

Still, it deflects from his own disastrous World Cup if he can paint Arry as the pantomime villain.

It is the whole British media circus all over again. When ther eis blame to be made, a few choice comments from the now vocal captain and going out of the world cup pales in comparision to 'Arrys comments about England.

Players pull out all the time, look how many first team players are injured before a pointless friendly, or look how many people pull out of the August friendly through a little knock or whatever. I'd rather if someone was to call Arry on it then not the captain.

Just sounds like 'ive never pulled out of a game so tell everyone who has to destroy their rep and make me look better'

Perhaps our captain should be focusing on regaining some dignity tomorrow evening?
